About this villa rental

Villa Morning Glory is a Private and Stylish newly renovated home with private plunge pool, located on St. Thomas in the gated Caret Bay Villas community. While only 15 minutes from town, it feels a world away!

PLEASE NOTE: A Vehicle is Required and AWD vehicle is highly suggested due to island roads.

Villa Morning Glory combines the finest in Caribbean style and comfort. This is a newly renovated, private, 2 bedroom villa with amazing panoramic views and its own private pool!

Stunning ocean views fill every room and if you choose not to use the A/C you will be cooled by wonderful trade winds and hear the sounds of the ocean on the shore below the villa.

Furnished with impeccable taste and style including art and decor from around the world you are sure to feel special when you book this villa.

A private deck, overlooking the water, provides immaculate views of the sea, along with a secluded place to relax poolside and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Dining outdoors on the private wrap around deck with views of inner and outer brass islands and the occasional mega yacht passing by is equally sublime.

Villa Morning Glory can accommodate up to 6 guests and includes a fully equipped kitchen, Indoor and Outdoor Dining tables for 6, 2 Private bedrooms 3 separate bathrooms, Flat screen Smart TVs in every room., Bluetooth compatible Stereo, and of course air-conditioning and secure WiFi.

The house is close enough to the town of Charlotte Amalie for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. You are only about a 15-20 minute drive from the airport as well. The villa is really the most romantic, scenic, and amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all.

Other things to note
A vehicle is required to access the property. (AWD recommended due to steep island roads)

Parking is limited to 1 car. You must park in your assigned spot and not block other cars. A parking pass must be displayed while parked on property.

Access/Mobility: Access to the villa and moving about the villa could be an issue for those with mobility issues. There is a double set of stairs from the parking area down to the house and then inside the house the bedrooms are upstairs and living area downstairs. This villa isn’t accessible for those with mobility/limited mobility issues.

Supplies : On arrival the house will be stocked with a "Starter Set" of household supplies including Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Dish soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Bath Soap, Dishwasher Detergent, Garbage Bags, etc. If you needed extra supplies during your stay it is suggested that you visit the local convenience store which is less than 10 minutes drive from the house.

Linens & Towels: The beds will each be made up with sheets blankets and pillows. 6 Sets of Bath Towels as well as Beach Towels will be provided. There is no washing machine in the house so if you wanted additional linens and towels on top of whats already provided, please let us know, and we can provide them for an additional cost.

Food / Provisioning: There are 2 convenience stores (Nidal 1 & 2) less than 10 minutes from the house. For a larger selection, Pueblo and Moes Fresh Market in Charlotte Amalie are around 15-18 minutes drive. There are also a couple of provisioning companies on island that can shop and stock your fridge for you prior to your arrival. For more info on this please contact us.

Trash: You are responsible to remove all trash from the home before departure. The community has no trash pickup so as a result you must deposit trash up at along the main road at the island dumpsters. To find them head up to the top of the hill where there is the sign for Caret Bay West. Turn either left or right onto the main road. About 5 minutes in either direction you will see the dumpsters on the right hand side of the road. Just throw all trash into these dumpsters and you are all set.

Pool: please follow all pool rules posted which include:
- No children under 18, may swim without direct adult supervision.
- No Diving, Jumping, Rough Play, Running, etc.
- No Food
- No Glass around the pool.
- Guest Assumes ALL Liability

Weekly Pool Cleaning: There is a pool cleaning company that comes once a week (Friday). they show up unannounced and will come around the side of the house to clean the pool. They will not give notice so please be aware that on Friday they may show up at any time. By accepting the rental rules you give permission for the pool cleaning person to clean the pool without advance notice.

Wifi Devices and Security Cameras: The houses has smart devices to monitor cistern water levels, extend wifi throughout the house, and monitor the perimeter of the property. Do not unplug any of these devices since if they go off line we will have to send someone to troubleshoot, and if they are found to be unplugged we will have to charge the service call fee to your account.

This is NOT a "party house". The next door neighbors are older and appreciate peace and quiet past 10pm. You must promise me you will be calm after 10pm. If you plan on a relaxing low key weekend then this is the house for you, but if you want to have a raucous party weekend please consider somewhere else. Noise complaints from neighbors or evidence of parties will result in termination of the reservation, as well as a fine.

CHECK OUT PROCEDURES:

When leaving the house we ask that you help with a few things to keep the home in good condition.

Grill: Gas is turned off, Grill Scraped, and the Grill Cover is put back on the grill.

Run Dishwasher: Please don't leave dirty dishes in sink or machine.

Towels: Please hang all used towels in the bedrooms or bathrooms. Please do not leave wet/dirty towels in pile.

Doors and Windows: are all Closed and Locked.

Air Conditioners & Lights: Are all turned off.

Beach Chairs, Snorkel Gear, Coolers, Etc: sand knocked off, rinsed with fresh water and returned.

Check out before 11am
(a late check-out/early check in may be available for a fee)

Rental Party: The guest confirms that he or she is over the age of 21 and can legally enter into this agreement. The rental party shall only consist of Guest and his/her family unless otherwise approved.

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 4 persons. An additional charge per person per night for guests in addition to 4 will be assessed and additional fee for the queen sized air mattress and extra sheets.

Housekeeping: There is a one-time fee per stay for a pre arrival and post departure cleaning. While linens, bath towels and beach towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Mid stay cleanings are not included in the rental rate. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately.

Accidents, Injuries, Illness, and Loss of Personal Property: The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. (there is an in room safe provided.) Please consider travel insurance.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is insurance that is intended to cover medical expenses, financial default of travel suppliers, and other losses incurred while traveling, either within one's own country, or internationally. We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance.

Parking: : A parking pass is required to park on resort property. There is no charge for parking during your stay. Vehicles are required to display the parking pass at all times and are required to be parked in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Storms: No refunds will be given for storms or Hurricanes. We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance.

Air Conditioning – The A/C unit is very strong and will cool the place down in just a few minutes…I request that when you leave the unit for the day or even for an hour, please turn off the A/C. Electricity is very expensive because it is an island and if it is left on all day it can cost me hundreds per week extra!!! I am only able to keep my rates down because my guests help me conserve energy. So please be mindful.

Water: The house runs on a cistern meaning we have to be extra careful about how much water we use otherwise the house can run low on water. We ask that you be as conscious of this as possible.

Video Monitoring: there will be a video security system located outside the home to provide for your safety and the safety of the property. Please abide by the maximum occupancy rules of the home (there is no video inside the home)

Child Safety: You are responsible for your own child safety protocol. There are certain areas on the property that can be considered “unsafe for children” You must assume all risks associated with renting this house. (please discuss with owner in advance if you have concerns)

Pool usage is "At Your Own Risk". There are Rules and Regulations posted at each pool. No one under the age of 18 is permitted without an adult.
No horseplay, No glass or bottles, etc. Please, be aware of these Rules and AGAIN, KEEP LATE NOISE TO A MINIMUM.

Our family of four (parents two kids, 9 & 7) stayed at Villa Morning Glory for a week, and it could not have been more refreshing and enjoyable. The house is completely private--you never see the neighbors in the adjacent home. It's a perfect size for a family. The bedrooms are spacious, both have balconies overlooking the bay, and generous bathrooms. It was really nice to give the kids their own space. Once we mastered driving on the island, and learned to take the Caret Bay WEST road (seriously, do NOT take Caret Bay East, even if GPS says to--it's a treacherous, bumpy dirt road through farms. You'll regret it!) getting to and from the house was relatively easy. Just multiply drive times by 1.5 to be on the safe side. 20 minutes? figure 30. It is wonderful to come home to the Villa after a long day exploring, snorkeling, and beachcombing. Our girls were in the pool every second they squeeze in. The deck is great for reading with a cup of coffee in the morning, and the kitchen is REALLY well apportioned with all the dishes and utensils you'd need for any meal. Grocery store is close enough to dash out when you realize you've forgotten something.Overall, the experience from start to finish was excellent. Alan makes sure to include tips and details about anything you could be wondering about, from restaurant and beach recommendations to how to take out the trash. We'd love to stay here next time!
