Banana Bay Beach Bungalow

If you are looking to escape reality, then you have found the perfect place. The Banana Bay Beach Bungalow is a captivating 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa that overlooks beach and waterfront as far as the eye can see. This charming rental is located on Water Island. Water Island is known as the “best kept secret in the Virgin Islands”. It is a quaint island with only 491 acres and under 200 full time residents. It is close enough to explore St.Thomas, St.John and even St.Croix/ Spanish Islands if you are up for adventure…but far enough, that you feel as though you have found your own sanctuary.

This home is appointed with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. Equipped with all your kitchen essentials, coffee maker, beach chairs, towels/linens, Smart TVs, outdoor shower, and ACs in each bedroom. Settled right above the water, you will be soothed to sleep by the Caribbean sea and Tradewinds. There are three king bedrooms; (two upstairs that share a bathroom) and one downstairs with an en suite bathroom and separate porch. One of the king beds can also be turned into two twins if needed. Maximum capacity for this villa is 6 guests.

A typical stay at the Beach House includes lots of beach time, relaxation and a slower pace. Perfect for romantic getaways, relaxing retreats or an island experience unlike any other. Start your day with a cup of coffee on the porch as you watch turtles, stingrays and fish surface right below. Then take a golf cart ride around the island to explore. Honeymoon Beach is one of the most favored destinations on Water Island. It is a white sand beach straight from a post card. However, when staying with us you also gain access to two other less traveled beaches to beat the crowds. A short walk from the house will have you down to Banana Bay (the beach in front of the house), where you can snorkel, lay out or search for shells. Another local spot is Limestone Beach; a rocky/shallow beach on the eastern side of the island. There are two restaurants on the island- Heidi’s Hilltop Hideaway and Dinghy’s Beach Bar and Grill. You have to check out Heidi’s world famous fish tacos and Dinghy’s frozen Paddlewacker. You’ll forget about the worries of home in no time!

Arriving to the island; The Water Island ferry is less than 10 mins from the airport. Any taxi will know when you say “Water Island” where to take you. The ferry leaves from 8am- 6pm (every hour, on the hour) from Tickles Dockside Pub (St.Thomas) to the Water Island Ferry dock. This is a short 8 minute ride. To get around the island, you will need a golf cart. We suggest booking with Rachels Rentals as soon as you secure your rental.
