About this house rental
The cottages of the Bigoussies mill can accommodate up to 10 people in 3 completely independent structures.
The "gazebo" is a very spacious cottage which can accommodate up to 3 people (1 bedroom and a convertible sofa) it also has a private terrace under a gazebo. Direct access to the river.
The 3 lodgings have been recently renovated in contemporary comfort and will seduce you with their exceptional location by the river. You have direct access for swimming, fishing or canoe trips. Located 5 minutes from Ribérac, they will be the starting point for many visits to the region. This 18th century mill belonged to the 12th century Romanesque abbey of Saint-Saud-Lacoussière above Brantôme. Presumably built on old foundations, we find it on the 18th century Cassini cards; its architecture is from the XIXth century.
It became an eel fishery at the end of the 19th century, then the refuge of a historian writer, before opening up to you on the Dronne. The water quality is exceptional, it is a dream place for fishing or walks.

Another visit to this wonderful place situated next to the River Drone. Good comms with the host and a lovely traditional Gite with all the necessary things you need!! We brought our bikes and the area is perfect if you love this activity. Also very good if you like a dip in the river. Well recommended.

Friendly and welcoming hosts at this incredible and unique mill. The area is quite, private, and beautiful. The rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable, and the outdoor area is a special place to relax, including swimming and canoeing in the river! What a wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful converted water mill. High quality fixtures and fittings with lovely decor. The wonderful garden is full of flowers and wildlife, including chickens, ducks and a lovable but occasionally noisy cockerel! You can choose from the sunny jetty on the river or pick a shady spot under the trees. The host and her son were friendly, welcoming and very helpful, leading us to the best fishing spots and providing local insights. Nothing was too much trouble!
Location was great with a fabulous choice of restaurants and boulageries for the morning bread and croissants in town . We would thoroughly recommend this property and will certainly be returning.
