About this apartment rental

Offering glorious views across the River Torridge as it meets the River Taw, this stylish, light and spacious second-floor apartment makes a fabulous holiday retreat for couples and smaller families. A great base for exploring the gorgeous beaches, quaint harbour towns and magnificent countryside of North Devon, the property offers bright and relaxing accommodation for up to four guests. Overlooking the historic quay in the picturesque fishing village of Appledore, this delightful and characterful retreat sits above a fantastic tearoom and delicatessen, and has been stylishly updated and decorated in fresh, soothing tones.


A shared entrance leads to a steep and winding cottage-style staircase which takes you up to the entrance of the apartment on the second floor of the building. Inside, you will find the spacious open-plan living area with a large window overlooking the quay, and a telescope so you can watch as boats cross the estuary and head out to sea. The lounge has a Smart TV, making an ideal space to sit back and unwind, while the central dining table is perfect for sharing favourite meals which you can rustle up in the stylishly designed kitchen. The property also has two delightful bedrooms, each with a TV and an invigorating en-suite bathroom: you can choose between the lovely king-size room and the cheery twin.


Appledore has a wealth of great places to eat and drink, with a bustling quay so you can watch the boats come and go. The popular village of Instow is just a mile away by ferry, with a wonderful sandy estuary beach. Westward Ho! (3 miles) has a stunning two-mile long sandy beach. Other local attractions include Northam Burrows Country Park, The BIG Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park and the traditional village of Clovelly, all within 14 miles.

The flat is in a fantastic location right on the quay near several great restaurants. The living space has beautiful views over to Instow and the property is very clean and well equipped. The only negatives were that one of the bedroom doors doesn’t close properly and the telescope in the photos of the lounge isn’t actually there!!
