About this cottage rental
It is about 5 minutes from the Dahlonega Square.
Some things for you to consider before renting this very special cottage: 1. Strictly limited to four people maximum including children, 2. absolutely no pets, 3. absolutely no smoking anywhere either inside the cottage or outside as the camp is tobacco free, 4. the parking area is about 90 yards from the cottage – you park and then walk toward the falls and then across the foot bridge in front of the falls and then up a path 5. two night minimum with some holidays requiring 3 niights. 6. The second bedroom has private access to the second bathroom and screened porch and there is a door between that area and the master bedroom, but access from the second bedroom to the kitchen/living room is through the master bedroom, unless you go through the screened porch, to the lower deck and up the outside steps. 7. There are about 10 private cottages along the creek inside the 400 acre Methodist owned Camp Glisson Retreat Center. In 2026 from May 24th to July 24th there are youth summer camp sessions from Sunday afternoon until Friday noon. The camp owns the falls, creek and hiking trails. We ask that guests give young campers their space while they are enjoying the outdoors during organized activities Sunday afternoon through Friday morning during summer camp. During summer camp guests can use the immediate waterfall area anytime the young campers are not there, which happens several times a day and during meal times.Guests can see the falls from the cottage and especially from the Adirondack chair area. Camp trails are closed during summer camp, but there are many hiking trails nearby and many lead to other waterfalls. Friday afternoon through Sunday morning during summer camp there are no children in camp, only the camp counselors. So, guests are welcome to use the immediate falls area. 8. We have 2 exterior security cameras aimed at the cottage door and the lower deck. There are no interior cameras. We turn the cameras on when the cottage is vacant. We sometimes turn on the cottage door camera until guests check in so we know they have arrived safely. We then turn them off.
