D13 Breakwater Beach Cottage at North Coast Village
Wow! Ocean Views for Miles! This is one of the best spots at North Coast Village. You can sit on your patio and grassy yard and watch the Oceanside Pier right from your own place! The living room is super cozy and comfortable after a day of fun in the sun and waves. There’s a queen-size sofa bed, a love seat, and a recliner. And there’s a cozy fireplace that makes the whole place warm and colorful. Breakwater Beach Cottage is a corner unit, so it has extra windows for more light.
When you’re standing at your kitchen sink, you can look down the beach and past the Pier for miles, or you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the bistro table with an ocean view. The kitchen has new cabinets with quartz counters and new stainless steel appliances. It even has dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils in case you want to cook breakfast or even full meals.
The primary bedroom has the same great ocean and beach views, and a super-comfortable Beauty Rest Pillow Top king-size bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, and the second bathroom has a tub/shower combination. The second bedroom has twin beds, also Beauty Rest. And you’ll find a pack n play crib in the condo for little ones.
As you walk through the staffed secure gate to oceanfront North Coast Village, you are transported to a tropical oasis reminiscent of the Costa Rican Rain Forest. Running streams, waterfalls, lush foliage, and Koi meander through the spacious grounds of this resort-like beachfront condominium complex in Oceanside California.
You will notice the crystal clear heated pool and spa, gleaming barbecues, convenient picnic tables, sand rinsing stations to remove the lingering beach. If you need a break from sun and surf, you might enjoy a game of pool, a jog on a treadmill in the exercise room, a little ping pong, or a sauna. Feeding our giant Koi is a simple pleasure not to be missed during your Oceanside visit.
When you venture through the back gates, you find yourself on one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches: broad and flat with volleyball, and great surf breaks - right out back!
Make My Vacation also provides all linens and towels, beach chairs and beach towels. The Living Room TV is provided for your entertainment, as well as free wireless Internet.
To the north, you can walk or bike to Oceanside’s busy little harbor for a bite to eat or some boating, and to the south, you can venture down the strand to southern California’s longest pier for some fishing (no license needed). North Coast Village is close enough to walk to everything near the beach, so your car can stay in its secure underground parking spot - especially useful when beach parking becomes a premium in the summer.
The Mainstreet Oceanside Farmer's Market is a delightful experience near the Pier which takes place every Thursday from 9-1, and the Sunset Market happens every Thursday evening from 5-9. Be sure to taste the cedar-planked Salmon!

Well equipped kitchen, easy access to the beach, clean, main bedroom ceiling fan not working however management stated the replacement had been scheduled for after our departure, floor fans provided in each bedroom.

Our stay was wonderful! Great unit, location was perfect to get to the beach. We ate out on the patio every day. The unit had everything we needed. We will be staying there on our next visit to California.

From the moment that we walked into the complex it felt like you were in a total vacation spot from the lash greenery, to the Koi ponds and waterfalls. The pool and hot tub were lovely. The laundry room with the WASH app was difficult as there isn’t good cell service in the that building.
The issue we had was with the upkeep of the unit. The refrigerator was not keeping out items to the temp that it should be and had broken seals on both the freezer and refrig. We noticed it was leaking, rust of the doors. We contacted the PM and they ended giving the owner of the unit the option to fix or replace. This Refrigerator needs to be replaced however, the owner decided to fix the seals only (which did not happen while we were there). The kitchen faucet at some point was replaced and they didn’t but the right size so they had to chip into the counter top to make this one fit. The glass on the coffee table, and the side table in the family room were broken at some point and not replaced, one of the lamps where they broken glass perhaps happened before had a broken switch so you had to unplug it to turn it on and off. There is carpet in the hallway and in the bedrooms, which is probably not the best for a oceanside unit when you have to keep the windows open because there is no air-conditioning and you have to keep the windows open to let any cross breeze through. The location was excellent. I just wish that the owner would take more pride in their property.
