About this house rental
Great lake views. Great fishing (smallmouth bass, pickerel, walleye, crappie, perch, sunfish).
No gas motors are allowed. Definitely "kid-friendly."

There is a wood burning fire place in the living room, a pellet stove in the sun room and a gas fire place in one of the bedrooms and yes we provide wood. Linens are provided. Cable TV.

Just returned from a relaxing weekend at this beautiful lakehouse! Our family had a lovely time and we absolutely enjoyed this peaceful lake. We even got to see a bald eagle! Our host was friendly, courteous and made us feel right at home! Highly recommended!

Michael’s lakeside retreat was the perfect getaway. Being right on the pristine water was incredible. Michael is a great host; he made us feel right at home. The house is huge with lots of room to spread out. Nice location close to Saratoga & Cooperstown.

This was our second time at this property and we enjoyed it just as much this time. Michael is a wonderful hands on if needed owner. The dishwasher had a water line that broke during our stay and he had a new one installed the next day, how often does that happen?It’s situated on Galway Lake with its own dock. One bedroom overlooks the lake and waking up in that room is pure magic! We enjoyed meals either on the inside porch area or outdoors on the lower deck all with fabulous lake views. We spent hours kayaking, in the water or sitting on the dock. We did have some dinners out but cooked in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen several times. All in all we had another wonderfulvacation in this Galway Lake rental!Thank you, Michael

We rented this property because of it's proximity to Saratoga Springs and it's location on a lake. We did not receive checkin information or a key and sent messages with no response. The house was open when we arrived. There was no key for us to lock the house. The house was tastefully decorated and clean with the exception of cobwebs in all rooms. The cooking pans were aged, and difficult to clean. The AC in the front bedroom facing the lake could not be used because the remote did not work and we did not have a phillips screwdriver or batteries or directions. TV in front sunroom did not work because it could not connect to the internet/wifi. We could not use the wifi until Monday when Michael came to the house with batteries and discovered the paper with wifi password and username were wrong. Linens and mattresses were superior. Towels and toiletries were provided and excellent quality. The phone number we were given was the old property manager number that was listed on the listing. There was no instruction booklet about using appliances or the check-in or check-out process. Michael gave us a key on Monday, the 3rd day of our stay, changed batteries and showed us how to use A/C. The kayaks had to be cleaned as they were covered in slugs, dirt, leaves and debris. The furniture on the decks had to be cleaned with a hose because they were also dirty. The exterior of the house is not as clean as the photos indicate. In spite of these pitfalls, we enjoyed our stay.
