Riverview Cottage is a comfortable holiday cottage and a real home from home.
Situated in the village of Breasclete it is centrally situated on the island making it an ideal holiday base. It is a twenty five minute drive from the town of Stornoway which is the hub of the island and boasts its own collection of small shops.
You are a five minute drive from the famous Callanish Standing Stones and Visitor Centre and a fifteen minute drive from the nearest beach. Lewis has some beautiful beaches and other interesting tourist attractions. There is plenty to see and do. Once you have explored Lewis you can easily manage a day trip to Harris from the cottage.

Riverview Cottage is a well maintained, cozy, and well-equipped cottage. We spent a week here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The separate washer and dryer made it easy to catch up with the laundry after a bit of traveling. Located 5 minutes from the Calanais Standing Stones, the cottage is conveniently located to other attractions on the west coast of Harris. While we would recommend doing any major provisioning in Stornoway, the Carloway Community store is only about an 8 minute drive away should you run out of milk or bread. Stornoway itself is an easy 30 minute drive away. We would definitely consider staying at this property again if we returned to Lewis & Harris.

The cottage was larger than we expected and very well equipped. Ann and Angus were very helpful. Our stay at River View Cottage was very enjoyable.

This is an amazing cottage, very comfortable, warm, clean and cosy. Very well situated for exploring north or south. Ann was very helpful and we would definitely recommend this location.
