LOVELY 5-PERSON APARTMENT IN CHARACTER HOUSE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE 30MN FROM THE BEACH

As a family of four, we have rented many different apartments in different countries. This one must be among the best, if not THE best. It's spacious, clean, quiet, and beautiful. It's well-equipped: washing machine (very important for us), dish washer, lots of tools to fight mosquitos, a Weber kettle grill (used it twice), WiFi of course, a well-stocked kitchen, even a ping pong table with rackets (which we didn't use, though). We always ate outside, no problem when it's hot, as there is a roof. The living room on the ground floor will remain cool if you keep the doors closed, even at 40°C outside (which we had at times), great to relax. The top floor will naturally get warmer, though. Our car was parked on the premises behind the gate. There's a public basketball court nearby that our kids went to in the evenings. Port-de-Lanne is a quiet small town, perfectly located for all kinds of excursions. The closest beaches are about a 35mins drive away, Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz (must-see!) 45mins, San Sebastián in Spain about 70mins. We also rented bikes, canoes, and surfboards, went to a high ropes forest, hiked the area, experienced the weekly market and the street festival in Peyrehorade with fireworks, and much more. Finally, I cannot overstate how nice Michel and his wife were to us! Even before our arrival, the communication was prompt and friendly. We speak some French but they will also speak English with you if that's easier. Thank you for the great memories!
