About this house rental
Our house is located directly on the beach! We are located on the northeast side of the island (the bay side just south of Dolphin Beach) with a beautiful sandy beach view overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. This side of the island is a hidden gem and with the small number of houses it makes our street and house very private and quiet. Not only does our 3-bedroom beach house boast breathtaking views of the ocean, but steps from the house is also an immaculate shallow swimming beach. It is ideal for families and small children. We have beach chairs and plenty of sand toys. Watch spectacular sunrises from the porch as well as spot dolphins swimming almost every day. Climb up to our crows nest to get a panoramic view of the island. Take out our double kayak and 2 paddle boards out to the sandbar or explore around the island. You will need to rent a golf cart a one is not provided for you to use as there are no cars on our island, just sandy roads, bikes, and golf carts permitted. If you are wanting to explore-head to the south end of the island where there are serene nature trails in the Preserve with miles of undeveloped land and beaches. Also enjoy our dock for excellent fishing. There are also nearby boat slips that we can recommend. Included in your stay is an Island Club Membership, which offers (as available) bicycles, kayaks, & paddle board use, 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball court, and other amenities.
Our house includes 3 bedrooms. 1 queen bedroom overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Bedroom 2 is along the side of the house and has a full bed (plus trundle) and large windows. The 3rd bedroom (technically the master) has a queen bed with a slider to the back patio and an attached bathroom with a shower. Our kitchen, dining room, and living room are all one open space. This opens up to the screened in patio. Through the kitchen you can access the washer/dryer.
Prior to your arrival, will send you information about all the logistics of traveling to a barrier island. Our family used to live full time on the island, so we have lots of experience and are happy to answer any questions you may have a boat. Please note checkin and checkout times are not flexible due to the logistics of turnover schedule. If you arrive early or depart later you’re welcome to use Island Club amenities, however, we can’t accommodate early check ins or late checkouts.

We had an amazing time staying at Dolphin Watch. The beach views were amazing, the house was perfect for our group of 6 including a 12yo, 2yo & 3 month old. It was easy to enjoy the beach since it was right there. We enjoyed fishing from the dock everyday. We loved visiting the pool in the mornings. We also really enjoyed the screened in porch and panoramic views from the common areas. From before we booked all the way until the end of our trip, Kitty was the best host and always communicated with us quickly and answered all our questions, and made sure we were well taken care of. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We would absolutely crook this property again when we come back. Don’t hesitate to book! It’s amazing!

We chose this beautiful home to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless — having assistance with our luggage made it possible to get all of our belongings to the house in one trip, which was incredibly helpful.The property itself is absolutely stunning. Nestled directly on the water, the beach truly becomes your backyard, complete with a private dock and breathtaking views. The sunrise each morning was unforgettable, and one of the bedrooms offers a direct view of the beach, allowing you to watch the sun come up right from bed.The host was exceptional throughout our stay — attentive, responsive, and thoughtful with recommendations that helped make our trip even more special. Every detail contributed to an unforgettable anniversary getaway and memories we will cherish for years to come.Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. We could not have asked for a better experience.

We had a fabulous stay at Dolphin Watch! Kitty was a wonderful host and was very helpful and communicative. The views are unbeatable and the cottage had everything we could have needed. We have no complaints about the cottage and we hope to visit again soon!

Great property. I’ll stay again and so should you. Host has excellent communication through the process answering all questions. Home is kept in very good condition and is well stocked with large and small appliances. Nice laundry facilities. Nice dock could use a bench. Wonderful beach could use some regular height chairs but plenty of beach chairs. Peaceful and scenic lanai. Spacious outside deck. Spectacular views of the water and wildlife everywhere. Peaceful, serene, fun and relaxing. I love Dolphin Watch.
