Really enjoyed the 5 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, all together on the 2nd floor with the laundry room. Kitchen had everything we needed, including spices and a stovetop griddle. Several gems in the house such as the antiques and pocket doors. Only regret is not reading further the welcome binder describing house history, local information and sites/restaurants to experience.

Our family stayed here over Christmas. We had an excellent stay. There were 5 true bedrooms, but a den on the first floor with a futon and a private bathroom, so more like 6 bedrooms. There is also a climate controlled veranda that has access through 2 of the bedrooms, and can be used for sleeping. And another pullout couch in the TV room. The neighborhood is iffy. Beautiful old homes from the 1800s, but many of them are run down. This home is no exception, with a lot to love both inside and outside. Each room was unique and charming. The kitchen area has a commercial sized oven, and adjacent commercial sized fridge and freezer that were unplugged when we arrived. There is also a standard fridge in the kitchen. Large dining room, which was great for our Christmas dinner with 15 people. Over 4 days, most of us didn’t even leave the house. There was so much room to spread out, a wonderful grand piano that my son played frequently, lots of opportunities to play hide and seek, and numerous different sitting areas for great conversation and games. The house did have several quirks and issues. For example, none of the bathrooms had locks. One didn’t even have doors that would shut all the way. There was wallpaper peeling, the dining room chandelier had more than half of its lights out (made it difficult to see), and there were several other obvious maintenance issues. Hand soap and paper towels were provided, but no bathroom toiletries. Kitchen had spices and baking necessities.
