Casa do Faial is a rural house from the 19th century. XIX, rebuilt, located in Vila de Prado, 5 km from the city center of Braga, ideal for families or groups of friends. It has 5 rooms for 10 people. It also offers a large and bright common room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
The outdoor space gives guests complete privacy. There are covered areas for meals and events, garden with swimming pool, barbecue and garage.
The House is located in a very quiet street in the center of the village, just over 500m from the Cávado river, with a river beach, sport fishing and water sports. Braga, in addition to offering its visitors monuments such as the Cathedral, the extraordinary Monte do Bom Jesus, other surrounding sanctuaries and numerous museums, has an appealing historic center for leisure, conviviality and the inevitable traditional Minho gastronomy.
Casa do Faial is located on a road to Santiago de Compostela, 50 km from Francisco Sá Carneiro international airport, in Porto, about 30 km from several fine white sand beaches on the Atlantic coast, 20 km from Peneda do Gerês National Park , 25 km from the city of Guimarães, 20 km from Ponte de Lima, 70 km from Valença do Minho, which borders Galicia, in Spain, and Vigo airport is about 85 km away.

The location was very easy to find with clear instructions, and excellent communication at all times. We even had help from the owner phoning a local restaurant which was a nice touch.
The garden was beautiful and the little pond even had three turtles in which the kids loved. Swimming pool was also great.
The kitchen was well equipped and downstairs living area was large and very comfortable.
The only down sides were that the bathrooms were very dated and while everything worked, they were particularly comfortable. The beds also appeared to be well used and perhaps in need of replacing. Lastly, the listing said it included air conditioning when in fact it didn’t, which was disappointing over a very hot week.
Overall we had a great time but a few small upgrades in bedrooms and bathrooms would make this place amazing.
