About this cabin rental
Enjoy a peaceful retreat at this lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with an office area/reading room situated just feet from the flowing waters of beautiful Shooting Creek. The back porch is screened-in and so peaceful for sitting in a rocker, sipping morning coffee, reading a book, or just enjoying the stunning creek and mountain views, watching Shooting Creek as it makes its way to Lake Chatuge, just a few miles down the road. Although central heat and air are provided for your comfort, there is a cozy fireplace in the living room, as well as a burn pit located right next to the creek for outside lovers. The property sits tucked back in a cove in a little four-acre, ultra-private valley setting. A covered carport is provided with ample on-property parking for three vehicles, including a boat or trailer. The home has a full laundry, and a robust Wi-Fi capability for your streaming and internet connectivity, in the event you need to do online work while on vacation. Beds accommodate five people with plenty of room for all. Fly fishing is immediately available on the 300 feet of Tranquility's creek frontage, as well as other notable water in close proximity. Golf can be enjoyed at Chatuge Shores or Mountain Harbor golf courses, both nearby just down the road, as well as other courses in the area. Hiking trails abound in the Nantahala Forest. The Appalachian Trail is just up the road. There are many things to do with the myriad small towns in the region: Franklin, Hayesville, Hiawassee, Murphy, etc. The southern cooking, which is common to all these venues, is second to none. Additionally, Tranquility's central location provides easy day-trips to Dollywood, Asheville, Chatanooga, and many others. We had a very restful stay and enjoyed the property. Cooler than where we live so that was a big plus. We did some day trips to Helen and Brasstown Bald. Fun excursions. Would definitely recommend
