About this apartment rental
Enjoy your vacation in our cozy, approximately 100-square-meter vacation apartment in the Lünzen neighborhood of Schneverdingen. Depending on the season, watch the birds or the horses in the paddock from the living room. The apartment is located on the first floor, is accessible at ground level, and is barrier-free. It features a separate entrance and a large terrace, as well as two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with a bunk bed suitable for adults).
The spacious living room, just under 50 square meters, is equipped with a flat-screen TV (satellite) and a DAB radio with Bluetooth. Or how about some books and games from the library? In addition, the large tiled stove makes it very cozy during the cold season. The cozy sitting area invites you to relax and read. The kitchen is fully equipped (stove and oven, microwave, coffee makers, electric kettle, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer). Bedding and towels included! 1 parking space (wallbox), free Wi-Fi!
There’s a small shop in town that sells fresh bread rolls. The extensive network of bike paths begins right outside the front door and leads, among other places, to the heathlands around Schneverdingen (approx. 8 kilometers).

We also recommend the natural spring baths and the Pietzmoor. Beautiful destinations such as Heidepark, the Bird and Safari Park, Snowdom, the go-kart track, and swimming and thermal baths are easily accessible by car.
Hamburg, Hanover, and Bremen are about an hour’s drive away. The nearest airports are also located there. Schneverdingen has train service to Hanover and Hamburg.
Note: Since there is a pond and a stream on the property, the vacation rental is suitable for children ages 6 and up!

We spent four days in Schneverdingen Lünzen, hiking in the heath in the first part of the day and using the apartment's exceptional amenities in the afternoons. The apartment is beautifully and tastefully decorated, exceptionally well equipped and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is, however, located directly on the rural road leading to/from Schneverdingen, which is well-traveled during the day. To get to the hiking trails in the Lueneburger Heide Nature Reserve one needs a car or bicycles. The vacation rental is on the ground floor of the house, with the host's mother, Mrs. Rosche living in the apartment above. Mrs. Rosche was our contact person upon arrival, whereas her son handled all the initial communication via the VRBO app. This was not clear from the listing or initial messages exchanged. The hosts expect guests to adhere to a few property rules which are mostly very reasonable. However, we did find it somewhat disconcerting that we were told that if we did not lower the blinds of the living room windows on a sunny day the host would enter the apartment in our absence during our stay to protect certain decorative (and admittedly beautiful) plants situated on the window sill of the vacation rental.
