The spacious living/dining room enjoys winter views of the lake and a short walk brings you to its shores where you can watch the boats sailing by. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead, or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside. There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole ‘pitch and putt’ and sailing marinas. The flat was large, cosy, well decorated with great views being on first floor! We had a dripping toilet & weird smell in another toilet but left the cleaners a note! In places the flat was a little dusty but overall it was great! The parking spaces weren't very clearly labelled so if arriving when it's dark it could cause confusion & there weren't many visitors parking spaces, so in height of season could be a problem! We would definitely recommend & hopefully be back again

Some appliances did not work. Surfaces needed dusting. Some Windows were not cleaned which impeded the view. However Well stocked with books games and DVDs. It’s a 15 walk to town which should be mentioned. If bedding is required to be stripped then this should be reflected in advertising.
