About this cottage rental
A large country house in the small village of Pruneda that has been created from the beatiful conversion of an 18th Century farmhouse, which has been became into 3 delightfull and well furnished holiday homes.
It is a quite setting in the heart of Asturias´s Cider producing area and has lovely views of the surrounding fields. Apple orchards are a common sight and nearby Nava (3km) which has the most interesting museum dedicated to the production of the local brew, hosts the Annual Festival of Cider in July. Nava is also good for shops, restaurants and cafes.
The surroundings are green and hilly -just the South of Nava is a range of beatiful sierras for walking. The motorway is easily accesible which makes getting around Asturias very easy. The beach is about 25 minutes drive away, and the city of Oviedo just 20 minutes away.
La Ceriquina: 2 pax.
Ground floor consists of a confortable open-plan kitchen and living area and a shower room. There is a double sofa-bed, if required, but this is only suitable for children because it is shorter than a normal bed.
Upstairs, there is a attractive, spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and a bathroom.
Outside there is a terrace looking across the garden.
El Ferre: 4 pax
Ground floor consists of an open-plan kitchen and living area, and a shower room.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, with views over the village and a bathroom.
El Malvis: 4 pax
Ground floor consists of an open-plan kitchen and living area and a shower room. There is also a sofa-bed, if required, but this is only suitable for children as it is shorter than a normal bed.
Upstairs, there are two spacious bedrooms, a doble bedroom and a kingsize bedroom, and a shower room.
Details: TV, dishwasher, shared washing machine, microwave, fireplace, cot and high chair available, garden, shared swimming pool, shops and resturants: 3 km, and a orch with table and chairs.
There is a car parking and also a shared utility room.

Highly recommended. The house is very comfortable and very clean, with a nice swimming pool. Good walks in the immediate neighbourhood and the Picos de Europa nearby, as well as some of Asturias' most beautiful pre-Romanic churches (near Oviedo). The owner and his family have been a great help. Our car had broken down and what our insurance could not fix within a week, they organized in five minutes. Many thanks again!

We enjoyed the small town very much (and the lovely neighbors) and the town of Nava as well with it's cidra. The atmosphere is wonderful and easy access to many interesting places. The weather was cool and damp and found that the radiators were not able to be turned on I was told heating is extra. No WiFi either which is fine if I had known first.

Staying in Casería María Sopena gives you the feeling you actually live in Spain for a little while. Javier and Maria Paz are very friendly and helpful: they patiently show you all the best beaches, walks and restaurants on a detailed map of the area and they're in for a chat without imposing. The appartment itself is atmospheric and clean and leaves nothing to wish for. The pool is small but lovely. Just what you need on a hot day. In short: this is a perfect place to spend a week or more.
