About this house rental
We've got the best location in South Haven, with a view of the marina, the Black River and Lake Michigan - and it's all within an easy walk of the city's main attractions.
You'll want to spend most of your time on the back deck, where in the summer you can listen to live music staged at the park down below or just watch boats glide back and forth. To the left, you can see Lake Michigan, the perfect backdrop to colorful sunsets. (The lighthouse is just out of sight, behind some trees.)
From this wonderful old house, built around 1900 but restored 20 years ago, you can easily walk to the beach or to downtown, where you'll find shops, restaurants, bars, blueberries - and lots of Sherman's ice cream.
Inside, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen area, dining table and gathering room with a sofa and piano (no guarantee it's properly tuned.) An over-sized picnic table and a gas grill make the back deck the perfect spot for an outdoor meal. Downstairs you'll find one bedroom, a front sitting room, and a full bathroom.
Three bedrooms are located upstairs. We call the one that overlooks the back deck the Harbor Room, and it's furnished with a queen bed and a rocking chair. Children can stay in the middle room, with one full-sized bed and a twin, and artists will love the Van Gogh Room, inspired by one of the artist's paintings. (Keep an eye out for the rubber ear.) You can soak in the claw foot tub or use the walk-in shower, grab a board game, or pull a book off one of the shelves.
Come sit on Adirondack chairs tucked beneath towering trees and watch the world drift past. We hope you love our home away from home as much as we do.

Beautiful property with a beautiful view. We were able to walk to the beach, stores, and restaurants. The hosts were very easy to work with also.

This was our second year to vacation in South Haven with our family which consists of five adults and two toddlers. We wanted to be closer to the town and the beach and this house was perfect for both. The house was absolutely wonderful!!! We utilized the deck with the view whenever we were there. Communication with the property manager was great!!If we had any complaints, it would be that there was only a couch where the tv is located so not much seating. But who wants to watch tv when you are in beautiful South Haven and so close to the beach. We would absolutely rent this home again!!
