    Beautifull House Not a long vacation but we were lucky to have stayed in Mr. Albertos Villa. The house is so beautiful and clean, big enough for a big family. The garden is lovely and the most worthwhile is the location, the house is close to the coast and great view. Varous Great Restaurants in walking distance; La Spezia and Porto Venere are places worth visiting and vacationing. Thanks again Alberto

    From the first moment on we felt very welcome by Alberto and his team helping us to check in and carry our luggage. The house was perfectly prepared and clean. If you want to feel the atmosphere of staying in an old-world villa, this is the place to be! Embedded in the direct neighbourhood of an ancient settlement above the village of La Spezia along a small stone path, the house with its terraces and the garden guarantees absolute privacy and tranquillity. No street noise and you can hear only nature, the birds, and the crickets and at nights you can see thousands of glow worms blinking in the large garden - amazing natural phenomenon. We came with our own mountain bikes and plenty of great tracks around the house to explore. Through the large forest, just behind the house, you can easily reach the coast of the Cinque Terre on the other side of the hills. The small private road leading to the parking space in front of the house only allows to pass with a smaller car and it was challenging with our Jeep Compass but we got used to it. Our parents parked their Van along the main road, where there is sufficient free and safe parking space available. The house has a nice fireplace and good heating but bring along warm clothes - it can get cold and windy outside at night. You will not be disappointed, and we fully recommend this place.

    Thanks for hosting us in this beautiful Villa. We enjoyed a great week in this historical house. Built over 100 years ago it felt like a very authentic Italian experience. The house was recently fully renovated and decorated with top standard modern appliances and beautiful antique furniture and decorations. The clean and cosy rooms are very spacious, especially the living room is a good meeting place for taking things easy. Lovely fireplace which we used several times. The kitchen is well equipped and great to have a coffee and breakfast. All rooms offer beautiful views over the sea and mountains. Two great Restaurants (La Gira and Bertolini) with fantastic local food and an excellent Pizzeria (Per Dire) are just within walking distance. Alberto arranged our pickup at Pisa Airport and the transfer to the house with very early morning check in so we did not had to wait for the afternoon usual check in time) and gave us many good ideas to spend our vacation and places to visit. We went to Cinque Terre, Sestri Levante and Monte Rosso by train, all villages easy reachable and no more than ½ hours train drive. The bus station is near the house, and we often used it to go to town (about 10 minutes drive) and came back with a taxi. Bus tickets can be bought at the Tobacco shop near the house. Incredible stay! We didn't have the best weather, but Albertos little paradise made up for it.

    Wonderfully restored property above town with amazing views. Very spacious for the 8 of us; It couldn't have been a better location for home base to Cinque Terre; The kitchen is very well equipped. We really enjoyed the new BBQ and outdoor seating area. Great pool. The large garden is fully fenced, and our dog could freely run around without getting lost. The Manager Alberto met us on arrival on the main street and his staff helped us to carry our luggage up the small romantic stone path to the Villa; (around 200 meter); We prebooked groceries and wine/beers for our stay. Alberto organized and brought it to the villa so everything was ready on the day of our arrival; There is a small local Italian food shop just where the parking is; It opens usually only in the morning, and you can get fresh bred /fruits etc;

    What an incredible stay! It’s truly the Italian Villa of our dreams. The Villa is large, mainly on one floor, with magnificent luxurious decorations. The main bathroom is stunning. The garden with its flowers and plants surrounding the romantic pool is incredible. Alberto recommended some great local restaurants, which were a short 5 minute walk away on the walking trail. He organized a private home chief, who showed us to make homemade Italian Pasta and Pesto. His suggestion to have a winery tour is something you don’t want to miss. The Villa was clean, everything was working and as descripted, if not better. We highly recommend Villa Spenser and thank you Alberto for taking so much care of our group

    Unfortunately, the property did not live up to its description, especially considering the high price we paid. When you spend this much, you expect more. First, the location was misleading. The listing states that it’s a 15-minute walk to the city center. This is not true. It’s a 15-minute drive, and on foot, it takes 1.5 hours downhill and likely even longer uphill. Second, the description mentioned that the driveway to the house is 2.40 meters wide. This is also untrue. We measured it out of frustration and found it to be only 2.00 meters in the curve, where you also have to navigate stairs that lead to a hiking path just to make the turn. The only car that could fit is a Smart. After our car got stuck and we had to reverse all the way back, we were offered help with our luggage, but our guest ended up staying in the house for almost the entire stay. the walk from the parking spot to the house is about 300-400 meters. This was manageable for us, but it’s important to note that you’ll need to carry all your groceries and luggage this distance. This was particularly frustrating as we were traveling with an 80-year-old guest who has difficulty walking long distances. Lastly, the garden did not look anything like the photos. The grass and small plants were all dried out. The trash disposal requires a 20-min walk. The view from the house is stunning, and it is charmingly decorated with a lot of antique pieces. The house was very clean and tidy, which we really appreciated.
