Barcelona Just Like Home

Very good location in an area full of cafes, restaurants, and all sorts of local businesses, also a few steps from the subway and a 10-minute walk to the Sants train station, making it very easy to reach the city center, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic and other city landmarks. The apartment is comfortable, very well-equipped and can easily accommodate up to 4 people comfortably.

We liked the location, metro and train station very close, shops and restaurants nearby. The owner communicated with us promptly and he was happy for us to check in in person as we didn't want to use the app. There was a booklet with shopping and restaurants recommendations left for us. We had everything we needed for the entire duration of our stay (4 nights), sugar, coffee capsules, olive oil, seasoning, washing up liquid, washing capsules, enough toilet paper, etc... extra blankets if needed. The flat is in an old building, with old wooden single glazed windows and in a very busy area so you hear all the street noise. It has very high ceilings, but it is in need of some TLC, it doesn't have central heating but there's AC in one of the bedrooms and the lounge as well as 2 portable heatersIt's. The layout is unusual, but it didn't bother us at all.

Noise from the busy road was the main thing, one of the single beds was very squeaky, lots of stairs to climb. A bit of a struggle after lots of walking throughout the day.

Easy check in, host is helpful, the space has everything you need. It is close to the metro station where you can get to all attractions easily.

Good location with access to good shops, restaurants , and the metro. We particularly liked the Carrefour Bio (just a few yards away). Internet was good. Washing machine with laundry pods for the machine. Poinsettia was lovely Many thanks for the coffee, teas and kit to support us.

Heating wasn't good for a mid-winter stay. Couple of electric heaters provided (not enough for the size of the apartment). No towel rail which led to wet towels; and no clothes rack for damp washing in mid-winter. Other than the bathroom nowhere to hang coats (again coats important for mid-winter). Hoomvip app wasn't good: both for the pre-registration and also not great for access to the apartment.
