About this house rental
Nestled along a serene lakeshore, this charming retreat offers the perfect blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! You'll be provided an access code to the back entrance prior to check-in. The owners are local, and will be able to be reached by platform messaging during the duration of your stay.

It is just 10 minutes from Claytor Lake State Park, offering boating, fishing, and hiking opportunities.
Radford University is a quick 15-minute drive, while Virginia Tech is approximately 30 minutes away, making it perfect for visiting parents or alumni.
The property provides a serene escape while keeping you close to the best of the New River Valley.
Guests have access to all areas of the home and property, except for the owner's closet and garage, which are reserved for private use
This stunning lakefront property is a two-story retreat designed for comfort and relaxation. On the main floor, you'll find the spacious primary bedroom featuring a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has a bathtub/shower. There is also two other bedrooms on the main floor, both queen size beds.
The open-concept living area includes a cozy sectional sofa and expansive lake views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
The fully equipped kitchen, also on the main floor, features modern appliances, a large island with seating, and adjacent dining space. A second full bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
The lower level houses two additional bedrooms. One bedroom offers a king-size bed with an attached bathroom with a large walk-in shower, while the two bunk beds (twin size), and a queen-sized bed are perfect for kids or singles.
A third full bathroom is located on this floor, ensuring ample convenience for guests. This level also includes a game room with additional seating and entertainment options. Outside, you'll find a spacious deck with outdoor seating and dining options, a grill, and stunning views of the lake. The property also includes direct lake access, with a dock and ample parking for multiple vehicles. Whether you're planning a family vacation or a getaway with friends, this property has everything you need for a memorable stay.

This was the perfect place for our family to stay for my son’s graduation from VCOM! It was kid friendly and beautiful with the lake view. We were not too far from hiking and going to town. It was a relaxing place to gather with family we hadn’t seen for awhile. Birdwatching, grilling, reading on the deck & playing pool were some relaxing activities we enjoyed while at the house.

Beautiful home and great location. We truly enjoyed our experience. It's in a cove on the lake which made it more peaceful. So much room outside to sit and enjoy the view.

We’ve stayed at this property several times over the past few years. Overall, we love the house and is proximity to fast food and grocery stores in addition to the layout of the house and the views! The kitchen seemed to have a few things missing compared to our last stay - casserole dishes for cooking, working can opener - but otherwise it’s decently well stocked. Our biggest thumbs down this time was the cleanliness of the place. The coffee pot and microwave looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The oven also hadn’t been cleaned in a while and made the whole house smell like something was burning every time we pre-heated it. There were clumps of hair found all over the house, rugs, etc and the rug in one of the bathrooms looks like it hadn’t been cleaned or vacuumed in several visits. All in all, we love the house and feel like it’s “home away from home” at this point but we were slightly disappointed with it this time around. We’ll definitely be back but hope it will be cleaner at our next stay.
