Slip away to The Glades Escape, a lovely mountain retreat in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. With a main cabin and a second separate living space, great for multiple families, older kids, or a group of friends. The secluded cabin offers plenty of peace and features modern amenities to make guests feel at home. Enjoy wooded views, nice outdoor spaces, and cozy interiors on those cool mountain nights.
Outside, stroll around the flat yard, sit around the firepit to chat, soak in the hot tub, have a cup of coffee or a drink at the café-style table, or have lunch on the patio. Easily make meals in the fully equipped kitchen that's outfitted with a double-door refrigerator, barstools at an island, and plenty of dishes and glassware. The dining table has seating for 6, and the living room features a big screen TV and an inviting fireplace.
The guest house offers 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, great for extra privacy for guests. The Glades Escape also has wireless internet so guests can stay connected, a washer/dryer, and conveniences like nightstands, dressers, and ceiling fans for comfort.

A large bear got into my daughter's car on our first day. Her husband scared it out so no damage was done just made a mess. The outdoor area is a really nice place to relax. It was a great set up and place for us.

I'm sorry to say this will be my first non stellar review for a VRBO stay. Here are the good things.1. Close to town2. Pretty grounds3. Nice and bright4. Management was quick to respond online to questions.5. There is a bear we met most mornings and evenings on the property. Very easy going. Here are the not so good1. Extremely steep and pot hole filled driveway. Be careful. It was stressful getting up to the property. If it's wet you will definitely struggle. 4 wheel drive recommended.2. Small mother in law suite:a. Damp and smelled moldy.b.There was no where to hang clothes or towels in the bathroom.c. No chairs3. Mattresses in main house had no mattress covers and the mattress had bumpy top. Uncomfortable to sleep with those rubbing you.4. Dishwasher did not work- we reported and the asked if we needed them to come right away to fix. We left that up to them just letting them know for the next guest. They did not send anyone.5. No curtains in the living area or kitchen.6. Not enough seating in living room for the number of guest the house allows.7. Shower water in the main bedroom never got hot. The sink water did. Weird!So. We did enjoy our visit but as I said this is our first experience with unsatisfactory review and will definitely not use this property again.
