There are two additional lakeside units that can be made available each with a queen bed ensuite for larger parties that need more space. Skate n Ski features multiple private decks with outdoor amenities such as a large gourmet grill for summer barbecues and comfortable seating to relax and gaze at the millions of nighttime stars. There is ample private parking in both the front and back of the property. The outdoor space includes a cozy fire pit perfect for late night smores. We had a wonderful stay at Skate n Ski during Christmas! We loved the beautiful decor in the house - especially all the Christmas touches! - the views of the lake, and the proximity to town and skiiing. Mary was an exceptional host and left the most sweet and thoughtful gifts for our two girls for Christmas. We will surely return for another visit. It is truly a magical place in a winter wonderland setting.

Great house for our family of 4! Host was very thoughtful and communicative on our arrival and with local suggestions. Would definitely recommend for any group visiting Lake Placid!

Beautifully renovated lake front cozy property. The property manager was so welcoming and made us feel at home. Super clean, comfortable beds and thoughtfully stocked kitchen. So many nice xtra touches such as a welcome basket of goodies & a personal tour of the house when we arrived. One of the best experiences at a vrbo!

To start the host met us at the house and gave a wondwrful walk-through. Left a basket of snacks and even a short 1980 hockey story . Kids lived the place and so did the adults. Would recomend and atay thwre again myslef.
