About this apartment rental
Bright one bedroom apartment in Mediterranean style, with high ceilings, fully furnished and renovated with terrace level sheltered by a roof, habitable and most panoramic. The apartment is on the first floor in a private park a few steps from the Chiaia beach, the tourist port, the hydrofoils and the center. The apartment overlooks the lush condominium garden with a large swimming pool and sun loungers and tables.
The large double room has a balcony that overlooks the terrace, 3 comfortable chests of drawers, built-in wardrobe and bedside tables, a small TV.
The living room has a three-seater sofa that easily turns into 2 single beds, a pouf that can also be opened into a bed, a living room furniture and a television. The dining table for 6 can also be placed on the terrace, where there are also several deckchairs and a small table.
The kitchen is open-plan, small but functional, equipped with a large fridge-freezer, oven and brand new cooking stove; it is equipped with everything you need to cook like at home!
The bathroom is blind but large, with a nice shower cabin and complete with all the bathroom fixtures, soaps and towels.
The pool is condominium and seasonal; it is generally in operation from June to the end of September while the garden is always usable.
WIFI is available in the lobby of the building.

What a wonderful vacation did we have in Marilena's apartment! The apartment is nicely decorated and has a great view over the garden and the pool and the sea. We were surprised by the high quality of the kitchen utensils, there was everything we needed to cook at home and in very good condition. The apartment is located in the 1st floor of a condominium of about 50 apartments. We lived in the apartment for the last three weeks of June and for the first week we were just about the only people in the building apart from the very nice housekeeper Franco.
The building is called Parco Santa Caterina and is located at the end of the street, some 300 meters up from the main road which runs by the sea. It seems the apartments are mainly vacation apartments, perhaps owned mainly by people living in Naples region. During the weekends there was more people around. We were the only non-Italian family around, but everyone was very friendly to us.
The location is about the best you can get. Just 5 minutes down the road and you are on the best beach of Ischia. It is a large free beach with perfect sand and it is shallow and warm for kids. There are also wave breakers so there is hardly any waves. We loved that there are crystal white sandy dunes under the sea when you swim out from the wave breakers.
It is also very convenient to walk to the city, just 10-15 minutes along the seaside main road. For grocery shopping it was very easy to go through the back gate where you can get to Monterone township. There is a Dok supermarket and (a better) Deco in just 300-400 meters. Some uphill is to be expected, but nothing bad.
In the apartment the double bed is wide, but the mattress is not very thick so be prepared for a hard bed. Naturally air conditioning would also be nice, but there are fans.
Wifi coverage is a real problem. There is no wifi in the apartment and we brought a WiTourist wifi box with us. It works with Wind operator. Unfortunately the coverage for Wind (and Vodafone and Tim) was very poor in the apartment. For some reason our wifi box seemed to work up to around 9 pm, but after that we were not able to get any 3G or 4G. Most likely the cell towers facing the apartment did get crowded. The coverage was good when we moved the box out to the garden so that the building does not block it, but then we were not able to get Wifi signal strong enough into the apartment.
Nevertheless, we will definitely come back! Thank you so much Marilena!
