A spacious flat in a perfect location! You can't ask for more, but you get more: A roomy living area that looks onto the street, a large bedroom away from the street noise, a well-equipped kitchen. The flat is close to public transport (buses and metro), within walking distance of many sites, close to grocery stores and an excellent covered market. Rue de Buci around the corner is lively and has shops and cafes. The owner was responsive and helpful. This apartment is a gem.

The apartment is in a great location in Paris and is close to everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. There is no elevator but it is only 36 steps to reach it, so not too bad. The kitchen is very well-appointed and includes a stove/oven and a full-sized fridge. The apartment is very large and has two beautiful windows to view the streets of Paris!

We stayed at Francois’s place for a week. The apartment is really well located. The metro is a block and a half away. There are plenty of brasseries, good bakeries and restaurants around the corner. A Carrefour express is around the block as well. The apartment has no elevator (not uncommon in Paris at all), and could be a little challenging if you had a lot of luggage.
We lost the key the day we were checking out, Francois was really nice and sent his cleaning lady right away and she opened the door for us and we made it on time to our flight ( later I found the key…).
I used the washer/dryer once and it worked well, not dishwasher. The refrigerator is a good size by European standards.

There are 2 major problems here
1) The leaking windows in the kitchen and bath room, cold air squeeze into rooms, rooms are cold even with the heating on.
2) the capacity of water heater is low. The tank only have 70/80L capacity vs 30/40 gallon in US, after one person take a shower, the next person need to wait about an hour waiting for the water temp to raise. The water heater is using electricity to heat water vs natural gas in US. In the cold winter, it is a big problem.
