About this cabin rental
From the moment you step into Sunset Cabin, you will be captivated by the calming and serene feeling of being on the pristine Oregon coastline, looking through huge picture windows.
Nestled cliffside overlooking the endless view of the Pacific. This home offers a dead-end private drive within walking distance to the Port of Brookings Harbor.
The living area features a pellet stove and a wide-open floor plan with an upper deck overlooking the comfortable furnishings. The breakfast bar is unique, with raised bench seating on one side and tall bar stools facing the kitchen. You'll also find a four-seat wood dining table.
The master bedroom and bathroom are located on the ground floor, with a small deck off the bedroom.
Climb the unique staircase to the upper deck, where you'll find a lofted room featuring a queen futon and twin bed, then go up one more step to another bedroom with a double bed and two more twin beds. The newly constructed 1/2 bath is in the lofted living space.
Every space features clean ocean air, and you'll find endless ocean views from nearly every room in the house. If you are looking for the perfect beach getaway and want to be the captain of your ship - this is the home for you. The rustic wooden finishes, lofted ceiling, and distinctive staircase leading to the large wood-beamed room overlooking the living area give this home a unique and relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to let everything go and escape to the ocean!

The close and uninterrupted view of the ocean and the shore below from the living room windows was enough to pay for this cabin. It was exactly what we had hoped for in terms of the spaciousness of the house, how brightly lit and inviting all of its rooms were and a very convenient staircase right down to the beach. One disappointment was that very near the bottom of the staircase a homeless person had set up camp and no one did anything the entire week we were there to enforce his removal. We did have the spare tire and a store item stolen from our car the last night and it made us wonder if it was probably the homeless and people below the cabin because the neighborhood itself seems upper end and is a private dead end drive. The deck facing the ocean was also very nice and though the homes next door are somewhat close the house is at such an angle that it feels private even when you're outside.

Im a local who secured this fi t my daughter & husband. I think they will rent it again and bring kids & girlfriends. Really good experience for them ! *i'm trying to get them to move*

The cabin was rustic, charming and VERY well stocked. It's the best stocked VRBO I've ever had. The views were beautiful and beach access was great. Being near the harbor, we really had everything we needed right there. The property manager is pleasant and professional. As a gardener/farmer, I particularly enjoyed the plantings at the house and throughout the neighborhood. Beautiful gardens!
We drove by early just to get our bearings/make plans (disabled child - planning ahead is important!). We were aggressively stopped (while driving by her house on our way OUT) by a nosy, nasty neighbor who clearly did not want us there. I really don't like calling people Karens, but this person fit the bill, unfortunately.
There were a few cons to this property, but altogether, this home is a great place to retreat for a quiet weekend at the beach, which is what we needed. Just maybe avoid the neighbor, even if she repeatedly yells at you to stop your vehicle. Don't make our mistake. Just keep rolling...
