Situated alongside the Tygart River, our guest house serves up a sweet taste of mountain living. The sound of whitewater floats on the breeze and river access is just a hop, skip and jump across the road where you can sunbathe, fish, and splash to your hearts content. There are also many sights to take in along the river including a 16' waterfall, and many rapids. Explore the riverbanks, find some shiny rocks and catch a glimpse of various birds and other wildlife.
The house is spacious with tall ceilings and plenty of room to move The kitchen is fully stocked, complete with a stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to prepare your meals. Unwind in the cozy living room, where you can enjoy a fireplace and watch TV or play the antique piano if you are so inclined.
We offer high-speed WiFi, washer and dryer, games, books and toys for both adults and children. Covered front porch with river views, covered back porch and large deck, complete with fire pit for s'mores.

Our stay here was great, and Sherry was easy to communicate with and responsive. We stayed for two nights. The home was clean and in a nice spot directly across from the river. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet at night. Space throughout the home was nice as we were there with nine people, but we never felt cramped. I will say the stairs are squeaky going up and down, but it didn't bother us as it was somewhat expected of an older home. I only mention it because if you have early risers or night owls that are roaming it could disrupt others. We were there to lay are Mother to rest and the home was perfect for the amount of people and our situation. Sherry was a fantastic host and keeps the home very clean and welcoming. She has many things for all ages within the home such as games, books, toys, and local information on things to do. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Sherry!

Had a blast in the river. Comfortable accommodations for 10, and the kitchen was great for food prep. Sherry was always available for questions and guidance. Highly recommend

If you’re looking for peace & quiet, with the gorgeous Tygart River within 30 yards… this is the place for you! Host addresses minor issues quickly & efficiently & is super friendly! Grandchildren enjoyed the bunk beds & riding their scooters on road & bridge (very little traffic) … no cell phone signal but was nice to unplug & we could text with Starlink wi-fi! We truly had a marvelous time in spite of lots of rain.
