Needles Nest offers a serene natural setting for large groups who seek a peaceful retreat with all the conveniences. The cabin has central A/C, a hot tub, and plenty of room to spread out with 5 bedrooms (2 have king beds) & 2 bathrooms.
FAMILIES: Needles Nest is kid-friendly with air hockey, foosball, board games, books, highchairs, 2 family rooms, & a large TV. Plus, all ages will love exploring the property & watching the deer & wild turkeys that visit often.
UNBEATABLE SETTING: Enjoy a cup of coffee or a quiet evening on the wrap-around deck that provides beautiful views of 3 acres of whispering pines, majestic granite outcroppings, and wildlife. The firepit (when wildfire conditions allow) & hammocks are perfect places to unwind under the stars.
PERFECT LOCATION: Countless mountain adventures are nearby: Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, cave tours, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, & Mickelson Trail. Plus, there’s an abundance of hiking, fishing, kayaking, UTV off-roading, and swimming just down the road. We really enjoyed the central location of Custer, and the house was so warm and cozy in the Black Hills during the last of November! The kids were in the hot tub outside when the temperature was 18F degrees!

The location was perfect for easy access to so many locations. The owner was very easy to communicate with and responded immediately. Pleanty of bedrooms with comfortable beds. It was nice to have plenty of towels for the bathroom and hot tub! Lots of space for groups if you had a larger # of people. We could have walked into Custer for dinner or shopping as it was located very close to town yet seemed more rural. Well supplied with extras throughout. If you are looking in the area i would recommend it.

Needles Nest was perfect for our family. We had 6 adults and 6 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub and the wrap around deck as well as the hammocks. It was so well equipped for anything you might need. We were visited by deer and turkeys day. Truly feels like you are in the forest with a road taking you to downtown Custer just a few blocks away.
