The cottage is on the 1st floor of our house.
With its 90m2, this accommodation offers:
• A bedroom with a bed of 1.60m x 2m (2 mattresses with electrically liftable head and feet), a dressing room (wardrobe, shelves and chest of drawers), a relaxation area (2 armchairs and a small table)
• A bathroom with shower, toilet, heated towel rail, hair dryer.
• A large living room with a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, dolce gusto, Alsatian service, steam cooker...)
• Two salons. One of them has a sofa bed (allowing the sleeping of two additional people on request). The second is equipped with a tv, DVD player and a children's corner.
For your comfort, you will find the bed made on arrival. The bathroom and kitchen linen is provided as well. On request it is possible to benefit from a washing machine.
Outside, you can enjoy a relaxing space in a small Japanese garden specially equipped with coffee table and armchairs.

The singularity of this village has been recognized, Eguisheim is indeed ranked among the most beautiful villages in France and won in 2013 the title of favorite village of the French.
Picturesque and attractive village in all seasons, its superb traditional and intimate Christmas market, dealing with Alsatian customs and traditions, is just one example. Its location will allow you to easily access the magic of the Alsatian Christmas markets of neighboring villages (Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr ...) and of course that of Colmar.

This was our sixth visit to Alsace over the past 25 years. This meant we had a clear idea of which villages were appealing to stay in, both in terms of their location and their beauty. Additionally, we had quite a list of things that the property MUST have - e.g. a useable kitchen in case Covid policies limited access to restaurants and air conditioning in case it was as hot as when we visited Alsace in August of 2016 and temperatures hit 95F/35C or more all week. Christine and Thierry's property was EXACTLY what we were hoping for!
Their location on the outskirts of Eguisheim is perfect! It is an easy five minute walk into the old village (have dinner at La Pavillon Gourmand - amazing!). Additionally, within 3 or 4 minutes, you are out of the village and driving on the Route des Vins. Additionally, you are only fifteen minutes from the Gare (train station) in Colmar. But at night, the village is VERY quiet (except at midnight on Bastille Day when the next village set off fireworks, but we'll let them celebrate!).
They keep the property exquisitely clean and it is well-decorated and furnished. Our bed was VERY comfortable (very important as we both have backs that sometimes don't respond well to beds that are too hard or too soft). My wife, in particular, loved that the beds can be adjusted to raise your head if you are reading.
We were VERY happy with our stay with Christine and Thierry and their hospitality. I truly cannot think of anything that needs to be improved. Merci!

Superb accommodation, fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Christine & Thierry are lovely hosts that are on hand if required. Eguisheim is a beautiful village in a very beautiful part of France. Highly recommend the property and the region.

The accommodation is excellent and Christine is a delightful hostess. The accommodation has everything that you require and has lots of little extras that just make your holiday. This is a great area for walking and cycling with lovely restaurants in the village of Eguisheim

We really loved the place with its full kitchen, large living room, great bedroom and, for European standards, big bathroom.
Christine, the host, represents the Alsace friendly hospitality exceptionally well and I would not hesitate to stay there again. We already recommended the flat to family members.
The property is 5 walking minutes away from the center of the fascinating medieval town of Equisheim in a very quiet neighborhood with easy, free parking.
This flat is the best place we have ever found on homeaway.
