About this house rental

Charming cottage 200 meters from the sea with marine character, with all the comforts, garden and a terrace from which you can see the sea. Very easy access to the beaches of El Trenc and to the best beaches and natural areas of the island. 20 minutes from the airport, routes and cycle-tourist roads in the area. The house has a garage that can store two bikes and / or more bicycles.
The house is newly renovated in July 2015.

Montse’s house is lovely! It is a slightly old family house, pretty tiny in the inside indeed, but with an amazing and unexpected garden outside with a private setting. S’Estanyol is a typical Majorcan little fishermen village: it has a nice stony beach and it is pretty close to the stunning Es Trenc/Ses Covetes village (by car), to the nice Arenal the Sa Rapita and well connected with Campos and other cities to get bigger groceries etc. During our staying we also got the chance to meet Montse's husband who'se been very nice and we always kept connected via texting. It has been a lovely vacation and we hope to be back again.

Just 20/25 minutes drive from the airport yet a peaceful and quiet village. Accommodation - all the basics for a self catering holiday and clean. No a/c though and was warm at night even with windows open and shutters closed. I understand what another customer review meant about the big bed - the mattress is very soft so you feel even warmer as you sink right into it. Easy parking right outside and a lovely garden at the back to sit and have breakfast or a drink in the evening plus a roof terrace with great views towards the sea and countryside. There is a little shop and bakery just a couple of minutes walk away that stocked essential items, a couple of cafes/restaurants and that is it - great for quiet and relaxation but we also found it really useful to have the hire car to get out and about when we wanted. There is a small quiet beach (turn right at the marina) 5 minutes from the apartment with woodland walks at the back of it - beautiful. The bay there is very shallow though and although we went swimming and snorkelling, getting out deep enough to do so isn't easy. I would recommend wearing swim shoes (we didn't and our feet got a bit battered and bruised) but worth it as the snorkelling is good - lots of varieties of fish and underwater flora. We much preferred this little local beach - we did go to EsTrenc beach and only stayed about 10 minutes - there were LOTS of people there.
