About this apartment rental

Summary:
This apartment features the possibility to dine out in the large terrace: amazing sunsets, view and a nice breeze!
It can accomodate 2 guests (plus eventually a kid upon request) in a large sofa bed. In addiction, it has a brand new full kitchen, 1 full bathroom and a large terrace right in front of the sleeping bedroom.
The property in addiction has 2 fenced gardens and parking space right in front of the house. Recently renewed, it has been designed for maximum comfort.

The Space:
In this apartment the following rooms are at disposition of the guests:
1. Full brand new kitchen
2. Bedroom with private bathroom
3. Living room with sofa bed
4. Wide open terrace.

The guests will have exclusive access to all the rooms shown in the pictures. There are also 2 fenced gardens, shared with the other apartment, where children can play safely. The house is very close to the main square of the little city (5 minutes walking) but at the same time it is very quiet. In front of the house you can park your car.

This beautiful country house has been built in the late 800 and recently renewed following 2 criteria:
1. the preservation and valorization of its historical heritage,
2. the comfort of its space.

For these reasons the ceiling has been rebuilt with wooden beams just like it was built the first time, windows are made of wood with inner wood little door to close them, many furnitures have been restored, while kitchen and bathrooms are brand new.

The location is very famous both for summer sports (MTB, hand glider, speleology, trekking, horseback riding), as well for the many beautiful historical cities (Gubbio, Perugia, Assisi etc...) and also for the unicity and greatness of the local food that is the result of the strong cultural roots of this region.

Last but not least there are several dine out options if you want to experience local food or a supermarket at 2 minutes walking for anything you need in the house.

Guest Access:
This apartment is at the second floor of the house and the guests will have exclusive access to this apartment and to the terrace.

The Neighborhood:
At the bottom of Monte Cucco, you can both practice many sports and Countless opportunity instead to taste the local food and wine in its thousands choices!
You can live in Sigillo really without driving a car, that's really a bonus to experience the italian life!

Getting Around:
The house is in a very convenient location to discover all the beauties of central Italy: Assisi, Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino are less than 30 minutes driving, while Perugia, Montefalco and the Adriatic Sea are less than 1 hour!
Best option to visit central Italy is by car, but a bus station is few minutes away and the closest train station is in Fossato di Vico, i.e. 10 minutes by bus or car (I can eventually help with that).

Other Things to Note:
A TV will be available in the house upon request (i.e. with italian national TV channels, no pay TV nor pay-per-view).
Electric cooktops are induction technology.
Winter heating or summer cooling are NOT included in the renting rates, unless specifically noted.
All the apartments of the house can be rented together if you need.
Let us know any particular need you have and I will be happy to help you out to make sure your holidays will be unforgettable!

Interaction with Guests:
I usually like to welcome the guests upon their arrival in order to show everything, I am also always available at the phone while not always I am staying at the house.
I suggest to come to the house with a phone or mobile internet in order to manage effectively any delay there might be.

From the moment we arrived our host Paolo made us very welcome. He greeted us with some gifts of local products and wine. He checked in with us on a regular basis to ensure everything was fine over the 6 nights we spent there. This apartment in Sigillo turned out to be very convenient for day trips to nearby towns, and Paolo had a comprehensive information book recommending which towns to see and restaurants to visit. The apartment was very comfortable for 2 people and had all we needed to self-cater our meals. The furnishings were mostly antique and nicely restored. Paolo was happy to share the history of this, his family home, with us. Parking was easy once we located the house. There was a washing machine/drier to use in the garage, very handy for long term travellers. Overall, I would recommend this property to couples who are looking to stay in a quiet location, off the tourist track, who have a car and want to explore beautiful Umbria and Le Marche. Paolo farewlled us with another gift, a beautiful wine bottle stopper.

Having booked the location and the apartment and our first time in Umbria we didn't know what to expect Fear not as Paolo is the most enthusiastic and helpful host It was Mayday when we arrived and all the shops were closed, but Paolo had provided wine pasta and other "goodies" to see us through till Tuesday Showing us around the apartment highlighted the work that he had undertaken to expose a very well appointed house and the sheer size of it was amazing The terrace just adds the finishing touch to enjoy eating in the open air Paolo helped us with location to visit and all of his suggestions were very valuable. At no time were we disappointed with his recommendations If you have the opportunity to visit choose Villa Constanzi We will be returning in 2018 and possibly for 3 weeks. It was that good
