Sunflower On The Frio is nestled high upon the hillside, with a spacious elevated porch and is furnished with patio seating and a large family-sized picnic table for outdoor food and relaxation. The glorious mountain view, overlooks Shut-In Creek. toward the hills of the Frio Valley. Step outside with your morning coffee to enjoy the cool breeze and observe the abundant wildlife activity from above
Sunflower is surrounded by natural gardens and beautiful winding rock paths, crafted by hand in and around the natural form of the bedrock -- a popular landscaping feature of Concan homesites built in 1950âs to 1970âs. that wind up and around and boasts. at the start
Sunflowerâs easy 2-MINUTE walk to the BEST RIVERFRONT ACCESS in Concan will have you splashing the Frio several times a day!
Walk down and jump in for a quick swim, or take your whole crew, a cooler of refreshments, favorite tunes, and park your camp chairs right in the cool Frio waves for the day. Or for a real âFrioâ experience, stop by the swimming hole on your path to the river, take a swing on the rope and splash into the frigid deep blue, spring-fed water! Youâll never forget THAT cold!
Sunflowerâs riverfront access just canât be beat! Located adjacent to the north end of Nealâs Campground, your crew can simply walk down, jump in, and float on down to the Swimming Hole at Nealâs, where the partyâs always rockân! GREAT LOCATION. Cabin is roomy, easy river access. Was a little dirty but I did book the day before my stay. Would stay again.

When we werenât at the river, we spent our time on the deck playing games, guitar, and grilling. The cabin hosts a plethora of birds. We saw painted buntings, red birds (not cardinals), yellow finches and more. Regarding the cabin itself, my son slept on a twin and said, âit was the best sleep he has ever had.â The window units keep the cabin cool and the fans help as well. The rock stairs are also a super creative addition. My kids preferred to use them. The cabin was clean and cozy.
The location is awesome. We visited several nearby establishments, like Joe Jimmys, Nealâs Diner and Hippie Chicks. We saw deer, danced, ate sâmores, swam, painted rocks, and just over all, had the best time.
The cabin owner is also amazing, kind, and very resourceful.

Great little place close to river. For sure short walking distance. Awesome outside deck/patio. Older home but definitely a great stay. Would stay again
