My wife and I spent the month of October exploring the red rock country of Sedona using this house as our base. Great choice! We liked (almost) everything about this house and it provided a quiet retreat making for a relaxed stay. I've rented many houses over the years, and this one is without a doubt the best stocked of them all. The kitchen had everything that we needed. No shortage of dishes, flatware, pots, beer and wine glasses, etc. And everything was clean and ready to be used. There was plenty of soap, detergent and paper products. Shoot, there was even a jar of peanut butter (actually two, and I emptied one during our stay!). The WIFI worked well which was important since we both were working remotely for a couple hours each day (this was a vacation but it’s tough to be gone from work for an entire month!). The TV set up was a bit confusing, but there was a contact number for the neighbor who set up the system. He came over and got it back in working order (turns out that a previous renter must have disconnected components and did not put it back the way they found it). We made use of the outdoor spaces on a daily basis, both the back patio and the upper level. There are multiple seating areas on the back patio so that you can enjoy sun or shade almost any time of the day. Since the house backs up to a golf course, the surroundings are pretty quiet. Having the open area of the golf course allows for a nice view of the red rock formations. We moved the lounge chairs into the golf cart driveway for the optimal view across the golf course. We were sitting there when a bobcat walked by right along the end of the golf cart driveway. How cool is that! We also enjoyed the birds that were constantly visiting the plants in the backyard, everything from hummingbirds to hawks. The upper level outdoor space was great for enjoying the starry night sky. The Milky Way was amazing! The only reason that I did not give this house a 5-star rating was the insect problem, specifically cockroaches. I hate to mention this issue, but felt that future renters would want to factor that into their decision. The property manager did have a pest control company spray during our stay, but we found several dead or dying roaches scattered through the house each day. The property management company has stated that they are working on and will eliminate this issue. If we were to return to to the area for an extended stay, I would definitely rent this house again!
