Old Town Nederland was built in the late 1800's during the Gold Rush. A walk in the neighborhood is a stroll back in time. Old miner's cabins tucked under the pine and aspen trees line the streets. Moose, elk, bear and deer roam the backyards. The Wolf Tongue Mill sits silent while Middle Boulder Creek snakes east from the Continental Divide through town and on to Boulder. Chipeta Park is a perfect spot for relaxing along the river, throwing the disk, or taking a stroll.

This mountain town sits at 8240 ft. elevation.

A bit about me...
I love hosting guests from all around the world! Born and raised on a family farm in Iowa, my adventures led me first to Texas and then on to the mountains. My family loves Colorado. Summers are filled with water sports, biking and gardening and in winter we ski and travel. I enjoy anthropology and study mushrooms and medicinal plants. In my free time I play guitar, dance, and practice yoga. I enjoy sharing our unique mountain culture with visitors from around the world.

We had a wonderful time in Nederland. The house featured a well-stocked kitchen and a cozy fireplace. A local highlight was the Indian/Nepalese restaurant; the authentic dishes and chai tea are a must-try. Communication with Wendy was seamless; she even went out of her way to meet us in downtown Boulder to return a shirt we’d left behind at the cabin.

Very relaxing getaway to the mountains. The cabin was in the perfect spot to explore Nederland, I loved the local music at Knotted Root, hiking at Aspen Alley, and revisiting the Carousel of Happines. So cozy and comfortable to come back to this centrally located, beautiful historic home.
