About this apartment rental
Beachfront Two Bedroom Penthouse with large terraces. The penthouse offers magnificent views of the ocean and the Bay of Santa Maria. The penthouse has a large living room with dining area and an open plan kitchen. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and provides access to the terrace in the back. The apartment is fully equipped to accommodate 5 guests.
The penthouse is located in Residence Beachside on Praia Antonio Sousa within a minute’s walk from the Josh Angulo Surf Center and beach. Ten minute walk from the Center of Santa Maria where shops and restaurants are located. Ten minute walk from the Pier where local Fishermen sell their catch of the day.
Currently there is a small contruction being built in front of the building which has only a ground level platform and a number of pillars (apparantly the project has been stopped). This contruction does not affect the sea view.

We loved this apartment very much: spacious, quiet, right on the beach with great views. Just fantastic! Everything was as described, Katia was a great host and the local property manager was also helpful and proactive. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this apartment.

Katia’s penthouse apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The larger terrace (there are two) overlooks the sea and has great furniture for eating and sunbathing. There are the foundations of a building in front of the apartment which has never been finished (and apparently won’t be) but you really don’t notice it, all you see is the sea and you can watch the windsurfers and kite surfers. We enjoyed being at the quieter end of town and it was only a couple of minutes walk to the swimming beach and the Columbus club where we relaxed on sun benches and had great food. There’s also a lovely ice cream and sandwich shop right there. About 10 minutes walk away is the pier where we bought beautiful fish straight from the boats for about €3 to €4 per kilo and there are lovely ladies selling fruit and vegetables from their wheelbarrows. We had a great day tour of Sal with an Italian girl who lives round the corner and their company is called 360 degrees. You can book it from the tourist office next to the back entrance of the Sal beach and sport club. We loved staying in Katia’s apartment and will definitely stay there again when we return to Sal. We had a fantastic stay at Katia's apartment last week.
It's really spacious with high ceilings and wonderful views of the ocean.
When we arrived we were picked up from the airport and met by a lady from the island who deals with things. She was lovely and had arranged for a grocery care package to be supplied, which really took the hassle out of the first few days. especially as we had a toddler in tow!
I would definitely stay here again.
Katia was very helpful before we arrived and Lenise (the lady we dealt with there) was also very helpful.

Very nice flat, 50 mt far from the beach. The terrace is about 20qm - great place to start or to finish the day.
