You and your guests will be amazed with the lake view this vacation home offers from its multi-level large back decks. Spacious living in this ranch style retreat with two living rooms, open kitchen, dining area, 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, 3 seasons room. The property is located just off the road of State RT 50 in a quiet setting that offers plenty of relaxation for you and your guests.
Relax and stargaze around a firepit, or watch an amazing sunrise. The 6-acre Lake offers some great fishing, canoeing or kayaking, and some much-needed rest and relaxation. Plenty of nature in the nature preserve from deer, fox, ducks and geese. Take a 45 minute drive from your vacation rental to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!

The nearby State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. Guests will want to visit Athens and Ohio University or Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. If guests venture 1 mile to Lake Snowden you can enjoy the waterpark with family and friends. Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. We really enjoyed our stay! The kids loved the lake and had fun taking the canoe out. The guys enjoyed the fishing and the girls enjoyed staying cool inside. There were plenty of TV's and it was nice having a washing machine. The grounds were so pretty and we enjoyed our walks. It would have been to nice to have a large dining room table so we could all eat together and play games. Though it did have 2 dining tables so that was nice.

This clean beautiful home on the lake was ideal for our trip. It accommodated 8 guys and we all had enough space.

Indoors:
Clean and well equipped.
We had everything we needed and plenty to do.
Wall switches were a nightmare.
A few beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
Outdoors:
Deck was unsafe. Needs boards replaced, ideally the deck should be replaced.
Was not clear as to sharing deck, boats and games with neighbors.
Neighbors had cages set up in pond to trap turtles. They caught one and took it to their unit to cook and eat.
Gas grill is a fire hazard on the old rotting deck.
We had a great family vacation in spite of minor issues. But, the listing should be more clear on sharing outdoor space your other rentals.
Hopefully this review is taken as positive criticism to point out ways to enhance your rental.
