About this house rental
Escape to the lake to relax and recharge!! Only 35 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and less than an hour from the Mall of America, this is the perfect place for a getaway. Located In a darling beach community, the house is directly across the street from the lake with amazing views and a private dock (in the summer). Enjoy the brilliant colors of the sunsets, bonfires and everything lake life has to offer. Beautiful fall colors and plenty of winter fun as well…ice fishing, snow shoeing etc. Bring your snowmobile if you wish. The fishing is amazing any time of year.
The lake home is in the perfect location. It has an “up north” feel without the long drive. Our 1700sf lake home has a fun beach vibe. It’s cozy, but open and airy and loaded with amenities.
The home has 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms.The master bedroom is on the top floor and has a king size bed and 3/4 bathroom. The sectional sofa is on the main level and there are 2 bedrooms downstairs each with a queen bed. There is also a 3/4 bathroom on the lower level.
The house has a smart TV on the main level and two other smaller TV’s with DVD players and tons of movies. Wi-Fi is included and we have a small desk if you need to get some work done.
The lower level has a foosball table, full size Pac-Man game and dart board. There are also board games, puzzles, cribbage and cards. Even if it’s raining (or snowing) you won’t be bored!!
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create amazing meals. Pots and pans, crock pot, air fryer, toaster coffee maker, microwave, blender, dishes, utensils and much more. There is not a dishwasher, so you will have to wash dishes the old fashioned way. We also have a gas grill outside on the back deck. If you forget something, the General Store is right up the street or grocery store within 10 minutes.
If you’re not in the mood to cook, there are some incredible restaurants nearby. Smokey’s BBQ is within a mile…a nice walk if you’re in the mood, Acapulco Mexican is 11 minutes away and Maxx Bar & Grill is also 11 minutes away among others.
There are 2 kayaks and a paddle boat for your use. There are life jackets (required) and misc. rafts/noodles. Bring your boat if you wish. The public launch is right across the street. There is plenty of space to park your trailer and cars in the yard. We do have a pontoon as an option to rent at an additional cost. There is some basic fishing gear for your use as well. (May require a MN license)
Coon lake is located in Anoka County. It is 1,481 acres and is approximately 27 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including bluegill, sunfish, bass, northern pike, walleye, crappie and perch.
This lake house is a great place for families to spend quality time together making memories.

We were staying at this property while the kids were in a soccer tournament. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate much and it was in the 90s for the entire week and we had severe smoky conditions from the Canadian wild fires. This home was nice and clean with some nice views of the lake and overall was a very pleasant place to be. From the pictures I kind of thought the house was right on the water, but it’s actually back a little bit on the other side of the road. There were still really nice views. And the dock with water access. Around the dock had a lot of weeds, which was fine for boating but not really an area one could swim. Fortunately, the host told me about a nice swimming beach, which was just seven minutes away. Communication with the host was great. Overall, we had a great time here and would totally recommend it.

Everything was wonderful, beyond expectations. Our group was pleased with the property and we’d highly recommend it to anyone. Lovely view of the lake too! We had a slight issue with no internet when we arrived due to a recent storm, but Matt stayed on top of it and it was working shortly after we arrived!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here while we attended the USA Special Olympics games in nearby Blaine. Sipping coffee on the porch each morning overlooking the lake, smores in the firepit at night, seeing turtles, a bald eagle, lots of birds made for a relaxing week. My daughter had a blast catching bluegill from the dock and my family enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. This made an excellent base of operations to explore the area, or simply relax around the house as the provided toys and watercraft gave everyone plenty to do. Note - this IS a lake house. There is no dishwasher, and the water out of the tap has a little odor, but there is a drinking water cooler, everything provided to make meals in the kitchen, games (including darts, foosball, pacman), and the aforementioned outdoor equipment. This is a family-friendly rental for a nice relaxing stay. We'd definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

3 stars max, place was dirty ceiling tile in main bath was falling down, toilet rings present. We brought our pontoon boat which we could not leave at dock. Water too shalllow and no good place to secure it properly. The green outdoor carpet in the kitchen was totally disgusting. I would not recommend staying here.
