Cormeilles:
With so much to explore, you will never lack something to do. Walks along the river to the local supermarket, the theatre just along the walkway opposite the house. Take the Pétanque set provided to the Pétanque court which sits alongside the river, again just along the walkway opposite. Lots of mapped and way-marked walks or just a walk up the hill from the house for beautiful views over Cormeilles and surrounding countryside.

Visit local chateaux, William the Conquerer's chateau in Falaise just 1-hr drive away. 20-mins from Lisieux, packed with activities including Kayaking on the river, another fantastic market and stacks of historical buildings. Animal-lovers will delight at the opportunity to milk goats (optional) at the local goat farm just 12-mins drive away where you can buy the local cheese too. Cerza safari park also just 12 mins drive away. Two local fishing lakes; one at the edge of the town (walking distance), the other 2 miles away. Normandy landings also just a 1-hr drive away. Pont l’Eveque, with its beautiful swimming lake and lakeside bar, and Liverot - home of the local cheeses just 25-min. Pont Audemer for historic tanneries, 25-mins. Brocantes, town fairs and outdoor concerts held throughout the summer.

The house is very near the village, only 2 minutes walking for fresh food, supermarket and a very great bakery. The village is beautiful and we loved it. When you enter the house you are immediately in the small living room with a large couch and cosy fireplace. The kitchen has all you need but with 6 persons sitting at the table is a challenge. We were only with 2 adults and our dog. The bag with goodies felt very welcoming. The stair is a work of art, but could be a struggle for some. The large bathroom is on the top floor, it has a bathtub and rain shower. It feels very luxurious and the small window has a beautiful view. The bed is perfect, we also slept better here than at home.We did not use the extra outside area with the small garden, it was too cold. But we did have a great time! The market of Cormeilles with all the fresh food and kind people is a must. We did see a lot in the area, Deauville, Blonville sur Mer, Cabourg, Ouistreham, Crèvecoeur-en-Auge and Château-Musée de Saint Germain-de-Livet and Lisieux and even more. Everything is beautiful and we will certainly come back.

Really nice house, quirky and quaint. It had everything we needed, all of good quality. The den was a nice bonus, lovely space next to the river. Hamper on arrival with some tasty stuff. Check in was easy. NIce little town, with some good restaurants, but be aware, a lot of them were shut on Monday and Tuesday (June). Magic pizza machine just round the corner! The nearby zoo is well worth a visit. The stairs were interesting, maybe a problem for someone with limited mobility. Overall, a great place 10/10

Nicely furnished, well equipped house, literally a couple of minutes walk from Cormeilles centre. Easy parking (we parked right outside every day without effort). Joanne responded very quickly to a couple of minor queries. We would stay again.

Had a great 10 night break in Cormeilles. The town is typical of this part of France and is very pretty with everything that you need for day to day living and a lovely river that winds all through the town. There is a food market every Friday and we made good use of Mr Sulky's coffee shop and the bakery a couple of doors down. There is a supermarche which is a pleasant 10 min walk away where you can buy everything you need to cook at home. The house is a wonderfully quirky shape. There are no square rooms here and it's great fun! The staircase is lovely and was my favourite part, although they are steep so may be an isdue for some. Beds are super comfy, kitchen was well equipped. The fridge is pretty small in the kitchen, so we shopped small and often, but there is another one in the outside garden room, which is well stocked with beer, wine and soft drinks (operates on an honesty policy) so it all worked for us. The owners are wonderful. There was a fault with the internet which they went out of their way to fix very quickly and were also very helpful with recommending things to do in the area. Would recommend

The property is very tastefully restored and located in the centre of the village. Be sure to take time to discover the village and chat with the locals in one of the cafés near the property. We enjoyed spending time in the cafés and restaurants surrounding the home. The hosts are charming and very accommodating. An excellent welcome package with local specialties was awaiting us upon our arrival and communication with the owners was superb. They really do have the comfort of their guests in mind. The only cautionary comment we would make is that the wooden stairway leading from the ground floor to upper floors can be difficult to navigate with luggage. Any adults who are not entirely steady on their feet or young children will need to take special care.
