About this house rental
This unique property is at the end of E. 5th Ave in a quiet neighborhood with a conservation area on one side and Lake in the back. It is in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to Mt. Dora with all of its quaint shops, restaurants and activities. There is always something going on in Mt. Dora and you can get a complete list of activities by googling Mt. Dora on the internet. The property is .8 miles to Downtown Donnelly Park
The Uptown Nature Retreat is accessed on the left side of the house next to the Conservation area with lots of butterflies and birds. As you walk into the house you are in the living room with dining area and access to the screened in back porch. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space and a counter seating area for dining. The livIng room has a large screen TV with a DVD, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, full bath and a sitting area with TV. A second bedroom has twin beds and it’s own full bath with shower and separate door to the outside.
The large back porch overlooks a huge fenced in yard overlooking Lake Franklin and is a great place to relax in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee or have a cocktail in the afternoon. The house is shaded by large oak trees that keep the house cool and comfy. A washer and dryer is also available for your use.
Lake Franklin is a private lake and a Great Lake to fish or canoe or kayak in. I don’t have kayaks at this time but feel free to bring your own.
We love pets that are well behaved and house trained and charge 25$ per pet per stay.

We all had a wonderful stay. The place was comfy,clean and an easy walk to downtown. The host was so pleasant and very nice to talk to. If we’re ever thinking of going to Mount Dora again, we would consider this a place to stay.

As a birder, absolutely loved the backyard! Patio is so nice, relaxing, and tranquil and we really appreciated it. Wonderful escape from the city!

We did not realize this property was a duplex. There was no privacy outside the home. Also, there was dog feces in the yard even though the owner had a note on the fridge to pick up after your pet. Also, there was NO mention of the 35 degree incline walking to downtown.
