Situated in the historic center of Lisbon, Rua Cardal de Sao Jose, 2 minutes from the famous Avenida da Liberdade, this very luminous apartment of 45 m2 is located on the 2nd floor of a well kept building, typical of the local architecture.
Recently renovated, it has been decorated and equipped with the greatest care and attention to detail.

It includes an entrance, a living room with a comfortable sofa-bed, a dining-room always sunny, as well as 2 bedrooms each with a double bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with induction hob, oven (microwave / traditional), dishwasher, fridge / freezer, washing-dryer.
The bathroom has a toilet and a walk-in shower with hot water. Convenient for a large family or a group of friends!
You will have access wifi (fiber) throughout the apartment, as well as numerous TV channels.

The Sao Jose district, very central, retains its authenticity, with many small restaurants and shops frequented by locals.
The street Cardal de Sao Jose, narrow but still sunny (vis-a-vis degage), is very quiet, which is pleasant and rare in Lisbon.
The famous Avenida da Liberdade, the equivalent Lisboete of the Champs Elysee, is less than 2 minutes away.
You will find good and chic local restaurants, trendy luxury boutiques, and art galleries.
The metro station Avenida, located on Avenida da Liberdade is also less than 2 minutes from our apartment.
Descending the Avenida da Liberdade, you can admire, on both sides, the old quarters of the cite juches on their hills: Alfama, Mouraria, Graca, Chiado.
Our apartment is a 10 minute walk from Bairro Alto and Principe Real, and 15 minutes from São Jorge Castle and Praça do Comércio.
Bairro Alto is a picturesque old quarter well known for its bars, restaurants and trendy boutiques.
Principe Real is a gay-friendly area, with antique shops and galleries around the square of the same name and an open-air market full of traditional Portuguese products.
São Jorge Castle is surrounded by traditional Portuguese neighborhoods and is located on one of the seven hills of Lisbon.
From here you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the city and the Tagus River.

We booked Charles' apartment for a family stay in Lisbon.
Charles has been in touch with us right after be booked, which was very comforting.
He always answered the many queries we had, and gave us some great tips about the city.
Check-in was smooth and easy.
Very nice apartment, tastefully decorated with many personal touches.
We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, even if we ate out most of the time (many local, good and cheap restaurants around).
Dishwasher and washing machine/dryer definitely a plus.
Plenty of hot water for the family and fast WiFi.
Very fairly priced.
We will be back.

The appartement is well located, in a quiet small street at 3 minutes from the middle of the Avenida ds Liberdade, 10 from the animated areas. Very nice too: good restaurants (traditional and modern cuisines) at 2 minutes.
We had a nice welcome email from the owner and smooth communication with the manager.
On the down side, the appartement is quite old (except a new kitchen), which is having a disturbing impact on 1) the sound isolation externally (we heard the building front door opening/closing and people walking in the stairs) and internally (most of the old inside doors did not close properly), and on 2) the electric facilities (not enough plugs in the bedrooms). We also had the water heater breaking down, which was not pleasant until it could be fixed 24 hours later. Finally, there is no air conditioning system.
In summary, the place is nicely placed but it deserves to be renovated/modernised.
