About this cottage rental
The colors are calming and the decor soft and cozy. In this open floor plan, you can enjoy the gas fireplace and television from the couch or the king size bed. A trundle was recently added giving sleeping space for two more guests. The trundle is two twin beds. There is a large flat screen television mounted on the living area wall.
The kitchen is equipped with a full size oven with range, a mid-size refrigerator and a dishwasher. There is also a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom has a full size tub/shower combination, and you even have a washer and dryer! Don't forget to bring your laundry detergent and supplies.
Enjoy the evening relaxing in the hot tub on the back porch. Cherokee Ridge 5 is pet-friendly, because we consider them family, too! There is even a doggy gate on the porch so you can truly relax knowing your pet is nearby. A gas grill is on the porch for those cookouts you have been planning.
Perfectly located, you are only 2 miles from Unicoi State Park were there's swimming, hiking and fishing; only 5 miles from downtown Helen. With WiFi available, you can surf the web for all of the fun and exciting things to do in the Northeast Georgia Mountains!

We had such a amazing time. My wife and I have been using GMR for over a decade. The staff have always been top notch. A special shout out to Sherry for all her help! This is the 3rd or 4th time staying at Cherokee Ridge. It is perfect for us and can't wait to get back.Every cabin we have rented are always clean. I highly recommend Georgia Mountain Rentals!!!!!

The cabin was so welcoming. We were greeted nu outside Christmas lights. When we opened the door ot was a Christmas womderland. Tastefully decorated and such a warm cozy feeling. The fireplace was mice since it was quite chilly on day. Our cabin was private amd and pet friendly which was great. The only reason i knocked off a star is we had difficulty with the hot tub. It was such a wonderful time. Thanks for making our Thanksgiving special.

Pros: The location was private and away from crowded locations; it was nice to be squirreled away in the woods and not in downtown Helen having to listen to the car club revving up and down the main strip all night long. It was very clean. The interior was decorated nicely. It was very quiet at night. Cons: We discovered issues with the side door locking mechanism our second night. The wiring at one outlet did not appear to meet proper safety standards. It was a bit small, but for one couple it was fine. It was a bit obvious that it's an older house that's been fixed up.Georgia Mountain Rentals: We were not comfortable staying our last night after discovering the issue with the side door not being secure. They looked at the pictures I sent them and quickly reimbursed us for the final night. They were very nice on the phone and very helpful with our problem with the cabin.Summary: The cabin was fine, and the cons honestly weren't bad save the unsecure side door. If the door had an installed lock and a locking bar that worked, we would not have left early. It was nice for the price and was in a good location away from downtown Helen.
