The ground floor has been turned into a great social living space complete with a comfortable living room and a wood burner for those cosy nights by the fire. The spacious dining room is a great social area, just perfect for a family feast which leads to a conservatory with additional seating, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine, watching the birds in the garden and soaking up the lovely view of Latrigg.

If you like outdoor adventure including climbing, walking and cycling you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg and Catbells. Nearby you’ll find Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. If you want to leave the car behind you can walk directly from the cottage to Castlerigg Stone Circle in about 15 minutes.

Keswick is a vibrant market town with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink as well as deli’s, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. It’s bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and the obligatory outdoor and fashion brands. If you like culture check out the Theatre By The Lake, 1¾ miles away, with award winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip. For family fun why not try Puzzling Place, 1½ miles away, which is a mind boggling attraction based on optical illusions or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world.
