Discover this uniquely located and beautifully furnished cottage nestled in the woods on an Island off the Coast Of Maine. Dry Cove Cottage is situated in a grassy clearing surrounded by towering alders and fir trees, located in the quiet, beautiful woods of Deer Isle, Maine.
This approximately 760 square foot cottage offers an open floor plan on the first floor with a living room, and kitchen with seating for 5 around an island. In the living room you will find a sofa, and two very comfortable recliners to kick back and relax in. There is a 42' Flat screen T.V. cable, with a DVD for your convenience. In the kitchen you will find all the necessary appliances you will need to make your vacation a breeze. For your convenience, an AM/FM/Cassette/CD player is also available.
We believe the best part of your stay should start with a great night’s sleep! All of the beds are equipped with top of the line mattresses. On the second floor you will find a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a second bedroom with an adult size bunk bed and a single twin size bed. In addition to the bedrooms, one full bath completes the second floor of this spacious cottage.
Our visitors are often so enchanted by the quiet, friendly beauty of Deer Isle that they stay “on island” for their entire stay. Others choose to explore the many other island and coastal communities nearby, from the islands of Isle au Haut, Vinal Haven, and North Haven and the neighboring Blue Hill peninsula to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. This cottage is the perfect location to explore them all. We are a four seasons, weekly rental with something to offer everyone.

I stayed in this sweet little cottage for 8 days with my dog, Zion. It is the perfect place for your fur family.
Zion realized when I packed up the car that we were leaving. He cried (part Husky) in my ear for an hour to let me know of his displeasure! We took a walk on the property twice a day and he loved it.
The cabin fit my needs well. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. I had a friend vacationing in Florida (Tampa Bay area) at the same time and the TV worked well to keep an eye on his weather.
We will definitely be back.

An out of the way peaceful property but close to all needs. Absolutely beautiful area. If you are looking to totally relax onsite and be close to activity this home is perfect.
Ricky is a very attentive host- I called upon arrival and departure, and he picked the phone right up.
Definitely on my short list to return and enjoy the property and area again!

Pro’s: I really did like the with regards to Haystack, it was an easy 10-15 minute drive. Bed was comfortable and shower was sufficient. Loved the directv as well. Kitchen had everything you would need, including seasonings and plastic wrap etc.
Cons: No a/c, no laundry, could use a thorough cleaning, especially shower and side of fridge.
I would stay here again, but maybe not in mid-July.
Host was easy to reach.
Had to leave early suddenly due to unexpected work issue.

This cottage, with its cabin-like atmosphere, is exactly as described, but I would advise prospective renters to pay close attention to the photos.
The interior is furnished in a bare-bones manner, with no lamps in the bedrooms and no rugs anywhere. The living room furniture is limited to the large, soft 'man cave' style, with no side tables or reading lamps.
The main downstairs area is roomy, but there was no table to supplement the kitchen counter. Families wishing to play games together might be disappointed. There is ample space for a table in front of a sunny window so remedying this would not be difficult. There was only a single working lamp, and the 2 others were falling apart. Essentially, there is a lot of potential, but what is apparent is a lack of attention to everyday comfort.
We are 2 retired adults and found the lack of good lamps for reading a problem.
