Inner Harbor Retreat is a glorious contemporary home in a private and scenic setting. The home has hardwood flooring, a water view deck system, many wonderful windows welcoming the sights of the cove into the home and skylights making the space extra light filled. Inner Harbor Retreat is great for multi generational lodging and provides a space that is large enough to accommodate a group of ten adults and three children.
Inner Harbor Retreat is a four bedroom, four bathroom house at the end of Oceanville Road in Stonington. Enjoy being off the beaten path in this gorgeous oceanfront home which has a great common space where the dining, kitchen and living area meet. The kitchen is a good size and very well equipped for any chef or baker. The living room area has a granite fireplace, a full sized couch and many built-in seats along the waterside windows. The living room has a 32 inch flat screen TV with DirectTV satellite service in place and has recently been upgraded to high speed fiber optic internet. From the common area, guests can enter a Great Room where they’ll enjoy water views, a dining nook and many comfortable lounging chairs to enjoy your coffee, wine or a good book.
The home has two first floor bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed, a dresser, spacious closet and views of the cove. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a desk with ocean views and a very nice ensuite bathroom with glass surround shower and beautiful tile work. The first floor of the home also has a second full bathroom with tub and shower combo and a separate laundry area. The second floor of the main house has a master bedroom suite with a king size bed, a closet, dresser and a wonderful ensuite bathroom with a three quarter shower stall and a jacuzzi tub.
From the laundry room there is a covered glass breezeway which brings you over to more sleeping accommodations on the second floor (above the garage, which is not available to tenants and only used for home maintenance tools). This private quarters has three twin beds, children books and other literature, a dresser and a closet. There is also a three quarter bathroom on the first floor before going up to the sleeping quarters.
Inner Harbor Retreat has wonderful grounds with an enclosed garden area full of lush flowers, green grass and comfortable benched seating throughout the space. The water side of the home enjoys a wrap around deck/patio system with a built in grill and an outdoor dining table. The home has multiple ocean access spots and would be great for launching a kayak, beach combing or just watching the tides come and go.

This property is even better in person than the pictures suggest! Beautiful home. Two primary bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. A third bedroom with bath across the hall and the Loft area is perfect for singles, kids, etc with its own bath at foot of stairs. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room has a great stone fireplace. The property is simply gorgeous and exactly what you’d hope for in Maine…lots of trees, a rocky coastline to sit on and watch the sunsets, even a small island to walk to at low tide. The drive in to the property is picturesque with deer and wild turkeys along the roughly 3 miles from the main road. It’s also conveniently close to Stonington. Our family looks forward to returning next year!

This place was like a story book. My 13 year described it as a fevered dream, it didn’t seem real. Everything about area was magical. The home was spacious, yet cozy, clean and extremely welled stocked kitchen. Coffee from 44 North is a must!! I am already dreaming about coming back!

The house is spacious and full of light, with lovely views down to the water between the spruce trees. In the early morning you can watch the sunlight move through them on its way to the water below. The bedrooms all look toward the water as well, and there's a fine deck for al fresco meals. The setting is entirely private, and it's very quiet--just the seagulls, and the occasional kayakers dipping their paddles. There's no actual beach, but plenty of big comfortable rocks to sit on. The water is cold (!). The kitchen is well-equipped, easy for team cooking. It has a skylight so, like the rest of the house, it feels open to the surroundings. There's also a very pretty garden, but we mostly sat on the deck or near the water.
We had a wonderful week there; it's a place where it's easy both to gather together and to have private space. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

The Inner Harbor Retreat is a joy to stay in. We have stayed there for multiple weeks in the last few years. It's nice and big with lots of space and privacy for family with a nice kitchen, living room, and deck to gather. The kitchen is well stocked which leads to great family meals. The waterfront is spectacular. We find that we don't leave the house much because there is so much to do on the property even if it rains. It is a very special place and 100% Maine.
