Superb gîte with private heated pool, air-conditioned rooms

All the 5* reviews don't do this Gite justice, it's so much better!The house, gardens and pool are an absolute delight. My wife and I stayed late May with my two kids (8 and 11) and my in-laws (70's) and everyone had a lovely stay.The house has everything you need, with plenty of space. Air-con was very much needed during the heatwave of our week and the electric shutters in the bedrooms kept the place cool. The outside is the real gem though, so much bigger than the pictures. Pool area is huge and so many seats and pool beds. The pool is heated and half shallow, half deep so great for the whole family to enjoy. There's an outdoor dining area and BBQ which was lovely plus so many game options - badminton, boules, football, rugby - easy to play in the acres of gardens. So many plants and beautifully manicured, there's even a cherry tree which timing was just right for fruit picking every morning. Location is spot on - you're 10-15 mins away from everything, countless Boulangeries, butchers, supermarkets and bergerac - a little further you've got beautiful market towns to enjoy too. And with the free bikes available to use there's even a bakery about 15-20 mins away through countryside lanes.Serge and Beatrice we're lovely hosts - available if needed, but left us to our own devices. The wine. homemade cake and handpicked cherries were a delight to arrive to.Thanks for a lovely stay, couldn't recommend more.

This is a superb Gite which provided all the essentials to relax and enjoy our visit; including an extensive arrivals package. Both the Gite and garden are beautiful. The pool was large with extensive seating. The house was very comfortable and included air-conditioning in the bedrooms. Located just south of Bergerac town and the Dordogne it is ideally located to explore Saint-Emilion, Eymet, Issigeac, Monpazier, Molieres and beyond. The gite was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived Serge and Beatrice made us so welcome. Everything we could need was thought of and the gite was immaculate - the pool area in particular felt like a slice of paradise. We explored the local area, sampled food and wine from the markets and restaurants - the area, from the vineyards to the beautiful villages, is just stunning and the gite a perfect place from which to explore. A wonderful holiday was had by the whole family. Thank you Serge and Beatrice!
