About this house rental
Very beautiful, private getaway! Cozy and comfortable with all the amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, plush towels and linens, spa robes, beach towels and washer/dryer. Walking distance to Milwaukie's Farmers market, shops and restaurants. Minutes to many local breweries and restaurants galore. Beautiful cedar hot soaking tub right on the riverbank beneath a stunning one-hundred-year-old weeping willow tree. New! A gorgeous amber gas fire pit next to the hot tub! It doesn't get better than this!
Keurig Coffee & Treats are supplied with your stay as well as Chocolates on your bed. Your main bed is open studio-style and located right next to a natural wood-burning fireplace. looking out to the beautiful Willamette River view through large windows which adjoining the living room. The main full bath has a shower and a bath tub. The decor is very romantic and soothing. The basic booking includes 3 queen beds and 1.5 baths. An additional private suite with a queen bed and full bath is available for those who book 7+ guests or need more than 3 beds or the additional bath. Let me know in advance if you need the extra bed and full bath as it is a separate suite which may be included for an additional fee of $150/nt.
This additional suite is never rented out to other guests at the same time, the property is all yours, not shared with anyone. You have a private deck, large hot tub right on the riverbank, two outdoor grills and several lovely seating areas, as well as full access to the entire beautiful grounds. In the summer you also have a private beach. You will truly fall in love with it here!
The new MAX Orange Line is now open, making travel without a car a breeze! The MAX stop is walking distance and will take you to downtown Portland in a 20 minute scenic ride. Travel to and from the airport is also a breeze with the new MAX rail.

This home is nestled within a quiet, friendly neighborhood located just a short drive to downtown Portland (12 min.), and the heart of Sellwood-Moreland (3 min.) with nearby freeway entry allowing for convenient access to the airport (20 min.). Mass transit is just a few blocks away.

Hood Meadows ski resort, lake and river fishing, hiking, and much more. Take the Mt. Hood Scenic Byway for a very full day!

The city will not allow it. Small gatherings are OK as well as photo shoots with pre-approval. If you are wondering if your idea or gathering is considered an "event" please ask, it is possible that we can work something out.
*Please note that this property is not recommended for elderly/handicapped folks who have difficulty walking as there are stairs to access the property and yard.

The property ended up being fine but my initial disappointment was due to the property being a bottom level of the house with occupants in the upper level. There are 3 pictures of the house on the property listing, & it's clear there are 2 levels. The listing included the words "...property is all yours, not shared with anyone". So I believed the entire house was what we were getting. That's not true-the entire floor above is occupied. That being said, we never heard noise from above nor were we bothered by anyone. I wish the details of the listing was more clear.

Fantastic location and property! It had everything we needed and more. We used the fire pit, the hot tub and the SUP and Kayaks. We would definitely come again. The only thing I was unaware of was that was the downstairs portion of the owner's house. I thought I had filtered for whole house. But the owner was lovely and helpful.

The property is beautiful!! The view and backyard alone is worth the stay. We were able to have a great wedding weekend and the house was very accessible/amenable to even have grandparents join us to help babysit a toddler and a baby for the actual wedding evening. Also, we were able to walk to a playground and nature trails just down the street. It was an easy drive to downtown.

Although the backyard and river are absolutely stunning… The house, however, is not. There is a long, very uneven step way down to the underground apartment which is located underneath the main home.
There is a SLICK slope to get to the kitchen, And the smell of mildew under the sink is absolutely disgusting. The furniture is extremely uncomfortable. If you want to sleep here, this is not the place. You will hear constant walking and movement above your head when the owners are home. You will also smell their food cooking in your unit as well. This is not a VRBO for anyone over 50.
