About this house rental
Kick back, unplug, and chum up some yellowtail at one of the best locations in the middle keys! Casa Chiquita is a recently updated ground level pool home tucked away on the closest gulf side canal to the Vaca Cut in Marathon, FL. The property is directly across the street from the Gulf of America and has 75 feet of dockage. You’ll have a nice protected space for a boat or two and can be on the reef with a rod in your hand in minutes.
This three bed, two bath, mid-century island home has great vibes. It's bright, cozy, welcoming, and certain to put a smile on your face. Casa Chiquita features a heated pool (optional), screened porch for dining and lounging, a covered carport with a bait freezer, plenty of parking for your boat trailer and vehicles, and an abundance of south facing outdoor space to soak up some Florida sunshine.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need, flatware, dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, etc. There are towels, spare linens, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. The master has a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a 40” Roku smart TV. Each other guest room has a queen size bed and shares a common bath. There’s a sleeper sofa in the living room which can accommodate an additional 2. (8 maximum occupancy per local ordinance)
This home has smart features including voice controlled fans, lights, and air conditioning via Alexa devices throughout. There’s a 55” Roku smart TV in the living room for movie night.
Take a refreshing dip in the pool after a long day on the water. Listen to the palm fronds dance with the wind while you filet your catch at the fish cleaning station. Let the warm carribean sun melt your troubles away as you lose yourself in paradise.

SECURITY DEVICES: For security purposes, this home has three
exterior devices, all pointed toward access points at the front
of the property:
- Video doorbell at the front door - covers the front entry and
walkway
- Camera at the East front corner - covers the front yard and
roadway
- Camera at the West front corner - covers the front yard and
roadway
All three are video only. Audio recording is disabled on all
devices. None are angled toward any window or the interior of the
home. There are no surveillance devices inside the home, and none
cover the dock, patio, or any private outdoor space.

We loved your home, pool, outdoor area, bags, and games!! Even the manatees who visited! Location was great for many delicious restaurants to get to within ten minutes. The home is in the path of a busy airport but was not an issue … actually enjoyed watching them. Definitely would book again!

Wonderful location. Walkable to a few shops. Marathon is great mid key location. Chose this property because it had several spaces for all 5 adults to sit and talk, eat and play games together. House and kitchen were well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Nice linens and towels. Enjoyed yoga sessions with my son pool side. Quiet neighborhood. Ample parking. Saw manatees in the canal one morning. Liked the "smart home" features.

Overall we were fairly happy with our stay here, and had a really nice trip. The house was clean, everything was straight forward, hosts were responsive. We enjoyed the pool a lot. The downfalls were the location- a few minutes from a small airport, right in the flight path, so every 10 or so minutes all day planes fly low overhead. We felt there weren’t enough shower or beach towels for our group of 7 guests- we were doing laundry constantly to keep up with the amount of swimming we were doing. The AC was strange, we couldn’t set it lower than 70, and we felt it didn’t fully work, especially overnight, we were all really warm and we kept receiving a high humidity warning on the thermostat, humidity was up to 70%…very stuffy. The major downfall was also an unfortunate situation where there was damage to something in the front yard near the road, either before or early on in our stay that our group did not cause, and we were blamed despite saying we didn’t do it. Luckily we had travel insurance for the trip.
