The town of Murat was better than expected.
Small cobblestones streets, old, charming houses. Many shops, cafes, restaurants.
The nature around town is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers.
Murat is also on the Circuit des Monts du Cantal
The apartment was big enough for 4 people.
Appliances are not recent but functional
Overall clean but a coat of fresh paint wouldn’t hurt.

The building, town and surrounding countryside are fantastic. The apartment needs a deep cleaning and new paint. The bathroom needs work-a missing piece of a step right in front of the toilet is ugly and uncomfortable. The coffeemaker, hot pot and microwave were coated with grime and everything was just a little grubby. But the basic room is great, wonderful big windows. It could be a gem with some regular care and paint.
