About this villa rental
We are a luxury destination in Costa Rica boasting the most spectacular view in all of Mal Pais. We are located in the hills of Mal Pais at the highest point overlooking the beaches of Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, and Hermosa. On a clear day, you can see 50 miles of coast line beyond the town of Samara. The house is surrounded by and overlooks the jungles of Mal Pais and adjoins the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. This is an incredible location to view the magnificent wildlife that the area is known for, including the great White Hawks of Costa Rica. The surrounding jungle is teeming with howler and white-faced monkeys that are often seen around the house foraging off the abundant fruiting and flowering trees.
The location is a perfect getaway for a group of 4-10 guests. It has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms in the main house with an ocean view, and the option to rent an on-site apartment for extra cost to accommodate groups of up to 14 guests. All bedrooms and bathrooms inside the main house have a balcony with a spectacular ocean view. An additional bedroom, bathroom, and loft are available in the guest house that sleeps 6 (no ocean views). We have a large Infinity swimming pool surrounded by an open patio that is perfect for small intimate weddings and other social events. There is an outdoor patio and seating area with a BBQ grill. There are additional outdoor areas with lots of seating. It is hard to describe how amazingly beautiful this view is! Once you are at the Vista Real pool relaxing in the shade of the palm trees, you will know you made the right choice for your vacation. It is simply breathtaking!
The area is well known for its surfing, yoga, bird watching, horseback riding, zip lines, fishing, ATV tours, and plentiful wildlife. Our concierge can help arrange many wonderful and memorable excursions. The area also boasts 63 restaurants and many wonderful markets so finding good food is very easy. Local chefs are available for hire as well.

We spent two weeks at Villa Vista Real with family and friends, and it was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The views from the home are breathtaking, the house is even more amazing than the pictures, and the beds were very comfortable. Soraya, Martin and Blanca were there to help us with any requests throughout our stay and made sure that everything went smoothly. You need a 4x4 vehicle to get up the driveway, but the trek is worth it for the views. We will definitely be back some day!

The pictures don’t do the home and setting justice! Wonderful pool for kids and adults.
The house staff is stellar. The road up the mountain is rough and steep so 4wd is imperative. It’s worth the ride.
