Originally built in the 1940s, this charming home has been fully remodeled inside, blending modern comforts with historic touches — from its marble countertops and tile floors to original hardwood, reclaimed tongue‑and‑groove boards, and the unique floor grate that inspired its name.
This 2‑bedroom, 1‑bath home features a full kitchen, formal dining area, laundry access, and a comfortable living room with a pull‑out couch. Outside, enjoy a fenced backyard with a spacious patio, grill, fire pit, fire table, and outdoor seating.

The Grate House comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests:
Bedroom 1: King bed
Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Living Room: Pull‑out couch (sleeps 2)
Extra Option: Queen air mattress available upon request
Guest Access
Guests have full use of the entire home, accessed via a smart lock on the back door. The backyard is easily reached from the driveway.
Other Things to Note
Well‑behaved, house‑trained pets are welcome for a small pet fee. A doggy door leads from the back door to the secure, fenced yard.

Enjoyed our stay. Easy to access and good location. The only thing I would suggest is a lock for the bathroom door. But it is a quaint, enjoyable place to stay.

Everything about the Grate House was perfect! The home was decorated beautifully, communication from the host excellent, neighborhood was quiet and close to Harding. Definitely will be back!
