Situated between Volcan Poas and Braulio Carrillo National Park, just 40 miles north of San Jose and 20 miles before La Selva Biological Station, this elegant home is ideally located as a base camp for your Costa Rican birding tours. Our modern Eco friendly forest home is super clean, spacious and it comes equipped with washer and dryer. Located in a friendly small town.

From San Miguel you can go via public bus or taxi. The area is great for activities such as river rafting, coffee tour, hiking and bird watching.

Everything about this place is a little magical and Gloria was the best host in terms of communication and recommendations. Would highly recommend exploring La Paz waterfall gardens and getting to Poas to see the volcano up close that you can see from the house. Also, would highly recommend having Yadi handle any meals as they were delicious and delivered right to the house. Take the time to explore the property and take the trail to the river. It’s a beautiful spot and great place to end our Costa Rica trip.

What a wonderful location! We enjoyed the nearby waterfall hikes. But even better was the beauty and solitude of the place. It has everything we needed to be able to just stay out and enjoy the nature.

Gloria was a pleasure to deal with. She was available at any point in our stay. The home is unique, fun and quite amazing. It felt like we were staying in the jungle. For a truly unforgettable place, I recommend this home.
